*Although…

Oh, I love a good although…*
Such is the fairy tale atmosphere of this show that I didn’t catch Ned was having a sex dream about Chuck until Dream Chuck took off her skin to reveal Dream Olive. I was squeeing all over the place, thinking, “He can pet Digby now too!”

The polygamist’s death was horribly hilarious (or hilariously horrible, whichever.)

Who played Simone? She seemed very familiar to me.

So polygamy is legal in Couer de Couers or wherever they are?

I will say this much - it is the only show on TV that I make an absolute point to watch multiple times.

Chuck/Olives interplay in this one was neat, especially given that Ned was entirely uncomfortable with it.

“Olive was wearing a Chuck suit”.

“Why do I always have to be around for these conversations”…

It’s Coeur d’Coeurs. But they might have to change that to “Coeurs des Coeurs”!

They’re not in Coeur de Coeurs – that’s where Chuck and Ned grew up, and where the aunts’ house is, but it was established that it was not in the same city as the Pie Hole.

I thought the episode a little flat, but still good. Chi McBride does get all the best lines, though.

Yeah, that shirt bothered me. I know they go for a brightly colored theme but that shirt…ow. My eyes. They bleed.

Oh I hope so. She was too good to be a throwaway character.

I really enjoyed the dream sequence with Chuck tripped and falling on Ned’s bed - not just because of what followed, but because that’s exactly what Ned should be worrying about. It really would be just that easy for Chuck to die after a stumble.

Have they made any reference to being the US at all? I don’t recall so much as seeing a flag in the background.

My favorite part was Emerson’s facial expressions, when Simone was training him with the clicker. Specifically, he was in her shop standing behind her, with his head down, she said something and clicked the clicker, and his head popped up with a dazed/hypnotized expression.

Also, thank you h.sapiens for pointing out that Olive is dressing in green and orange, most likely as an homage to a pimento stuffed olive. That had completely passed me by before now.

That completely went over my head, too.

Also, notice that in this episode, when she briefly went by the name ‘Pimento,’ her disguise consisted of simply a red wig (and a green dress, of course).

I thought this episode was a little off from the previous ones – a solid B instead of an A. But this thread keeps reminding me of bits that I enjoyed and pointing out little subtleties I missed.

I might have to raise that grade.

I love the wordplay in this show. Olive disguised as Pimento. . . and that Harold’s last name was Hundin – Hündin is German for “female dog”.

It’s the little things that I love.

I am finding this show is worth watching twice. I have all but the Pie-Lette still on my DVR and I have watched all but this weeks twice now. I will probably watch this weeks again this weekend.

This espisode in particular benefits from a second watching - not sure why, but there’s alot of subtlety in this one that can be quickly missed on a first run.

I normally love this show, but I was bored during this episode. I don’t really know why.

That was my favorite part, as well. The expressions on his face as he realized he was doing things, like sitting on command without knowing why, were enough to make me giggle.

Man, I love this show. It’s too good- if it was on Fox, it would’ve already been killed off. I hope the writer’s strike doesn’t kill it.

I missed that one, but I did notice a couple of episodes ago, when the Pie of the Day was Peach (written on a blackboard) Olive was wearing a peach-colored dress.

No aunts. :frowning:
