Mean Mr Mustard… make it stop!
Damn you. If I hadn’t read this thread title, I’d never have noticed that I currently have the background music to the original Legend of Zelda running in the back of my mind. The volume was low and I was thinking of other stuff and hadn’t noticed. It’s really repetative.
Dammit! For days now.
I step outside this morning and the air is chilly and crisp, and the sky is bright and sunny. What immediately pops into my head?
Unfortunately- the Brady Bunch kids, singing…
It’s a Sunshine Day
*i think i’ll go for a walk outside now
the summer sun’s callin my name
(i hear ya now)
i just can’t stay inside all day
i gotta get out get me some of those rays
everybody’s smilin
sunshine day
everybody’s laughin
sunshine day

Right now it’s the guitar riff from Aqualung.
I had the hook from Captain of Her Heart stuck in my head every day for almost fifteen years until I finally downloaded the song and listened to it all day long every day for almost a month. That did the trick.
I like “Hello” by Adele.
I know there’s a hate-fest going for it in another thread, so me saying that there isn’t appropriate.
Beethoven’s 4th. Not kidding. Played it a couple of times to drive out a different earworm, forgetting that I know this thing like the back of my hand from a few decades ago. Every goddam note. The good thing about it is that at least there’s a lot of ground to cover before the inevitable replay. Much better than listening to Karate by The Bedwells over and over, or Sahara Elektrik by Dissidenten, which sounds like a very nice German drinking song sung in Arabic.
Someone Like You by Adele.
It is from one of my all time favorite albums but there is no reason for it to be playing in my head for the last week.
Robbie Robertson Broken Arrow
I expected yours to be “Give My Regards To Broadway”.
mmm
The Minions singing “Y.M.C.A”.

Chad & Jeremy: Yesterday’s Gone
Theme from Lifeforce by Henry Mancini.
Pretty Pimping by Kurt Vile. I somehow feel like listening to this high would be even better, but I love it anyway.
Lately, an oldie from Willie Nelson & Amy Irving:You Show me Yours and I’ll show You Mine
Love to hear Uncle willie and Trigger rocking out…
Like millions of other New Yorkers, I am tormented day and night by the 1-800-Kars-4-Kids song.
In 1991, I spent a 7-hour flight helpless against an onslaught of the deservedly obscure 1938 Bing Crosby song “I’ve Got a Pocketful of Dreams.” I just looked for it on YouTube to confirm the title, and dammit…
Nuclear Love, from the Fallout themed album Blast Radius (some tracks incredibly NSFW!)
Total ripoff of Atom Bomb Baby, if you ask me.
For about the last two weeks, Cowboy Junkies’ A Horse In The Country.
Could be a lot worse.
Could be a whole lot worse. Love that song.
