A week ago it was Bowie - Starman.
“Badstreet U.S.A.”, arguably the greatest theme in professional wrestling history.
For some reason, Ian Dury - Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick.
Exes and Ohs by Elle King. Crazy catchy.
Nothing But Thieves - Trip Switch
The song has so many hooks, it’s on an endless repeat loop in my head.
Evidently my head thinks its 1992.
Lucius, “Almost Makes Me Wish for Rain”
From their new one. Very poppy for them, but that chorus will not leave my head.
Dillinger Escape Plan - “Unretrofied”
Normally not an earworm type of band, the vocals in the chorus here definitely burrow into the ole noggin.
*“There was green alligators and long-necked geese, some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees…”
*
mmm
*Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you’re born, the loveliest of all was the unicorn. *
Dammit! shakes fist at Mean Mr. Mustard
At least that’s replaced the “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” song that had been inexplicably rattling around in my head for the last day or so. It’s an improvement, I think… :dubious:
Duran Duran’s “What are the Chances,” featuring John Frusciante.
Such a beautiful song.
Chad and Jeremy’s “A Summer Song.”
I love that song.
My current one is “Reminiscing,” by the Little River Band. I keep screwing up the lyrics, too, which makes it even stickier for me.
Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass - “Casino Royale”
That new Iggy Pop song.
I don’t know why it’s usually the most butt-bothersome tunes that’re my earworms (“Musicbox Dancer”, “Popcorn”, anything by Leonard Cohen, “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward), but luckily today at work this cool number (“Eleanor” - the Turtles) almost made the lawnmower go all in its own, and in particular the layers of minor key harmonizing in the chorus…gets me all sappy about thwarted courtships in the past…If I could somehow put this song in my will, I would. (something the Most Interesting Man in the World could’ve done, probably)
Cruddy video quality, unfortunately, but nice little style-cramping stare-down @1:27.
Donovan - “Atlantis”. I heard it on the radio last week, and the song’s one sung line has been resurfacing intermittently in my mind ever since.

Drown, me, please.
“Foil” by Weird Al.
Steelers Wheel “Stuck in the middle with You”. Day 3 and counting. Gah !!!
