It’s been less than two days since the last post in the current … current earworm thread and we need to start a new one???
Shake Sugaree. My band is playing it on Sat, and I’m supposed to take one break on bass, and whistle another. Freaking WHISTLE?!
I counted the ta-ta-ta’s just to keep you honest. Okay, then.
Cage the Elephant’s “Ready To Let Go”
Mea culpa, I don’t spend a lot of time here in Cafe Society and I should have searched. Mods feel free to close this thread.
Ever since I watched S8 of Game of Thrones my earworm has been The Night King. The music for the series was phenomenal and that particular piece really resonated with me. Impending mortality.
It plays in my head almost all the time.
You schmucks! I was getting along just fine without an earworm, and read this thread, and now I have one. It’ll be there for days!!
“Drink Up Thy Zider” – scrumpy and western, by The Wurzels
“Drink up thy zider, drink up thy zider
For tonight we’ll merry be
We’ll knock the milk churns over, and roll 'em in the clover
The corn’s half cut and so be we!”
That’ll be a dollar thirty-eight, please…
Merged threads.
Bob Dylan - Tangled up in Blue.
Oh they call it that good ole mountain dew and them that refuse it are few
I’ll hush up my mug if you’ll fill up my jug with that good ole mountain dew
I played IN THE SALLY GARDEN on my tinwhistle and it’s still with me.
That last Cure/Springsteen/Puddles one was bad. Lasted almost two weeks.
Watched late last night the Community episode S01E17 Physical Education. It was the first one with a musical montage. Joel McHale and Blake Clark playing pool (while stripping!) to the tune of Werewolves of London.
NSFW?VideoA-oooo.
Michi – “Catch a Feeling”.
This tune (indie/alternative pop) is mega-infectious and full of hooks.
To claim the bonus point: I had the Alona Chemerys channel playing while frying chicken on Tuesday night, and this song has stuck around.
The Beatles’ Paperback Writer, thanks to another thread on this page. Could be worse
It’s a steady job but he wants to a paperback writer…
I was looking at this thread earlier thinking, you know, I don’t have one at the moment, and that’s really quite nice. And now I do, and it’s entirely my own fault.
The theme from Z-Cars, a 1960’s British cop show of no particular merit. (Though that said, whoever put together that video was having a bit of fun, especially with the actress at 0.41. Hang on for the credits if you can’t figure it out.)

So I got up to Community S01E21 Contemporary American Poultry and the Goodfellas homage montage got Layla into my head.
But it only lasted for a few hours. Back to Werewolves of London.
These were the bad times.
She Sells Sanctuary
Goodfellas always gets Harry Nilsson - Jump into the Fire from the helicopter scene stuck in my head.
My current earworm is a weird song by a great New Zealand artist I’ve been listening to: Princess Chelsea - Monkey Eats Bananas. It’s like a children’s song, but very weird.
