I was listening to some Richie Kotzen tunes on Spotify - looking for more favorites to load up the play list. I was a big fan of The Winery Dogs, which he did with Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy. Anyhoo … Love is Blind, though pretty heavy, just has the hookiest chorus with awesome wall-o-harmony gluing it all together. I can’t stop singing/humming/whistling that chorus.
It’s the 50th anniversary of the playing of “Mah Nà Mah Nà” on Sesame Street.
I’ve had Tennessee Flat Top Box stuck for a day now.
I’ve heard that to get rid of the earworm to listen to the thing all the way. We shall see.
Ok 30 minutes later, and it didn’t work.
I was watching mtv classic and they put on “promise of a new day” by paula abdul its been 3 days …and ididnt like the song much when it first came out …
That made my day. Thank you!
We’re currently watching here and there old episodes of It’s Garry Shandling’s Show. It has the best TV show theme song, evah.
And this has become Mrs. FtG’s earworm. Which she takes every opportunity to tell me about. Which then means I have it running thru my head for a while after.
Thanks, dear.
They had different people singing it from time to time. The best was Tom Petty but I can’t find the clip. So, here’s The Turtles (Flo & Eddie). Enjoy.
Bhi Bhiman – Atlatl.
Haere Mai (Daphne Walker) 1955
It’s catchy.
I love this song. And now you just put it back into my head.
The theme from Leave It To Beaver.
On account of I watched an episode today.
One of the most beautiful songs from the entire history of Rock. Timeless.
My current most ardently hated, consummately crappy song is the Wreckless Eric excrescence Whole Wide World.
Wondering if I should have spoilered the link.
Yeah, it’s catchy, alright.
Good luck in not letting it bore a hole in the back of your skull and driving you to excessive drink.
Once it starts…
When I was visiting my three-year-old grandson at Christmas he was watching the English version of a Spanish program called Pocoyo (narrated by Stephen Fry, who apparently can do anything, so it had that going for it.) Pocoyo is a toddler, his friend is a duck called Pato, and Pato has a theme song
P - A - T - O Pato which I can’t get out of my head.
The first segment of this video has the song. Be afraid.

Let the water come and carry us away
For the past week it’s been “In the End” by Linkin Park
Like a Rolling Stone, the live version from 1965, came up on the SD card in my car stereo on Thursday. Listened to again on Friday. Still there in my head. Not at all unhappy with this one.
Cuddly Toy, by the Monkees, again. This time it was deliberately induced to get rid of Baby Shark, so…a definite upgrade.
I did something incredibly foolish.
And you’re about to find out.
A week ago I posted the following atrocity in the “Artists who’re best/worst in their field” thread…
Brian Wilson at perhaps maybe not his most stellar.
To be sure - masochistically savour his “I can say I’d faaallll in luuu-uu-uuv…”
Let it marinate, and resonate within you.
Just that little half-minute bit.
For every day, this past last week.
All the time.
