Does anyone remember The Sonny and Cher show and how they would have little animated bits running while they sang a tune and how Cher sang “One Tin Soldier” with “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear” as bookends and they showed a little cartoon while she sang? You don’t? Well, here it is:

Does it count if you like it?

Herb Alpert - Casino Royale

I heard a real oldie on my way to work this morning and now I’m humming it at my desk. “Baby Baby Don’t Cry” by Smokey Robinson.

“Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” because I was talking about Song Of The South the other night.

ARGHHHH. Tom Waits Closing Time (instrumental, last track on the Closing Time album). I dug up my copy of the song and listened to it last night. Lovely song.

“Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve. I dunno. I’ve just been thinking about someone I once knew and that song popped into my head. That’s all.

Ever since seeing today that Ron Moody died, the brilliant little march “Be Back Soon” from Oliver! has been playing in an endless loop in my brain.
