I just realized the Moody Blues’ “Send Me No Wine” was going through the back of my head.
I don’t know how it got there, but it can leave any time it wants.

Shamelessly trendy, but I’ve been listening to Wednesday Addams’ cover of “Paint It Black” on the cello a lot. It’s really catchy, no surprise.
“Girlfriend Is Better” - Talking Heads. Popped up on my Youtube feed the other day and has been flitting in and out of my brain ever since.
The Outfield: Your Love
Josie’s on a vacation far away
Come around and talk it over
So many things that I want to say
You know I like my girls a little bit older
I just want to use your love tonight
I don’t want to lose your love tonight
Holiday road. That chorus is very sticky.
“People, Look East”
“Where have all the flowers gone?”
On account of the thread titled “Where have all the sandbags gone?”
mmm
“The Christmas Cancan.” And because I don’t know all of the words, it’s looping on just a few bits.
Got to be at least thirty years since I last heard this song, which popped into my head a few days ago. A catchy chorus…
Theme to Mission: Impossible.
I have three that have been buzzing in my brain for the past couple of months ever since seeing G-Idle (prounced Aideul, no G in Korean) on Knowing Bros, a Korean variety show. All the songs are written by So Yeon, the leader and main rapper.
Latata - I heard this when it first came out years ago, but it’s back in rotation in my head. Trivia: The sixth member, Soo Jin was ousted in 2021 due to an alleged bullying incident when she was in school.
Tomboy - Yes, they’re really saying “f**ing tomboy!” Unheard of in Kpop, especially from a girl group, who are generally supposed to be squeaky clean. They and usually the audience say it during their non-Korean live performances
Also, if you listen carefully, Shu Hua is really singing “law law law…”* not “la la la…” because of her accent. She’s Hakka (Southern Chinese) and Taiwanese.
*So Yeon, mentioned this on Knowing Bros., saying she purposely wrote that part because of Shu Hua’s pronunciation.
My Bag
Good thing they weren’t tightly miced. Jack sang the wrong lyrics more than a few times.
I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles.
I hate the song, and it’s been stuck in my head for weeks.
The Sound of Silence - Disturbed cover
This song was prophetic, right? We’re all worshipping the neon signs and hearing without listening. Creeps me out.
