Quick, what's your current earworm?

Something I watched recently had a song where the first few notes were very similar to the first notes of Life in a Northern Town, and now that’s stuck in my head

Ride Across the River by Dire Straits. It’s been playing all morning.

This one came to mind when I saw the “Thankful songs” thread. But it doesn’t quite match the definition so I’ll post it here: Songs Of Praise by Roy Wood.

This stupid song is still stuck in my head.

Pancreas by Weird Al.

(At last! I usually have a song going in my head, and I’m usually not paying much attention to it. Then I run across this thread’s title, and bang, the song stops. And I can’t remember what it was.)

After enjoying the ATMOS mix of Abbey Road this morning: “You Never Give Me Your Money”

One sweet dream,
Pick up the bags, get in the limousine
Soon we’ll be away from here
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away
One sweet dream
Came true today…

The Godfather Orchestral Suite
by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra

Watching the Godfather has become almost a tradition for me at Thanksgiving.

The haunting melodies sometime stick in my brain.

Riki-Tiki-Tavi by Donovan. Not to be confused with Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by Kipling.

Another one leading up to what is always a sad season for me:

River - Joni Mitchell

Eric Darius, “Fired Up”, on the Breakin’ Thru album. The saxophone and guitars are just fantastic!

The Ivy League, “Funny How Love Can Be”

(Aaarghh…why am I back with a new submission every two months?)

I love finding mew music in these threads!

LOL because you love to share your musical joy!

And there are some of us who scroll these threads looking to find new stuff.

You can probably tell my approximate age. I maintain quite a few video playlists, including one that is just early to mid 60s. I love to shuffle through them…but sometimes one just sticks like glue.

“Silence Is Golden” by The Tremeloes is another one that is haunting me.

I vaguely remember this one.

I totally get the experience of glue sticking melodies.

I can’t believe they are still active!

My sister is in Winchester today and yes, she’ll be stopping by the cathedral.

Enjoy!

Unfortunately it’s Proud to be an American, courtesy of a thread here.

Ok just discovered a really pretty one:

The Carnival is Over by the Seekers

Plays into my ever present sense of melancholy.

Heheh, my friends think I’m weird for enjoying “Winchester Cathedral”
