Haven’t run across the poster in question, myself, but am I missing something? In the first quoted post Quincy says he’s from Europe. In the second, he says " I’m not from the UK." Where’s the contradiction?
Even if he had said he was from Britain, isn’t that still considered part of Europe?
And if it’s clearer in the indicated threads, perhaps next time use more extensive quotes.

But he just started posting yesterday.
His only posts are a test and then two threads that declare him living in Europe, living in the UK, and then not living in the UK.
So it seems like someone trying to create a false identity and making a mess of it. It’s insulting our intelligence. So I just wondered what he was trying.

Yes they are. However, this isn’t one, IMHO. A persons country of residence is being discussed.
Granted, it isn’t being discussed in a very constructive matter, but still. We can only blame the OP for that.
This really isn’t an accussation of trolldom. AIÆ is just accusing Quincy of claiming to be British when he’s not. It’s certainly not the most convincing argument or civil OP I’ve ever seen, but it’s still in bounds.
I think Ægghead severly misinterpreted the “here” in “We’re not talking about the president of France or the PM in UK here.” as Fretful pointed out. As such, I doubt he’ll attempt to convince us further of Quincy’s alleged fraudulence and the thread will sink anyways. No one’s buying it.
However you look at it, Quincy has proven quite adequately that he is a case of Ignorance Incarnate.
