So that’s what happened to my waistline!

It is on the very rare occasion I come to defend anyone. I feel people are quite capable of saying what they want without any input from me. I wouldn’t exactly say that is what I’m about to do now, either.
Since Lauralee…mentioned him and I’ve seen others make remarks on him, the motherly side of me is coming out.
GG is only 13. It is by choice if he comes here, but try to keep in account his age.
Also someone made fun of something(not in this particular post) I believe SafeAmI said over on LB in regards to not understanding what a word meant. Also someone who is 13 or 14 years. I knew the minute I read that people would have a hay day with that one. A large number of posters on LB are very young.
Lauralee is right, they are learning. Maybe you could cut them a little slack.

RTF, if I didn’t advocate apathy, I would be truly jubilant. That still doesn’t explain the problems the New Orleans Saints seem to have.

By the way, how would I actually go about advocating apathy? It seems that should be impossible, unless I led by example only.

I anxiously await the rapture, when all Kingdomes are taken away so we can play and watch sport be played on GRASS in the OPEN AIR where God meant it to be!!

Yer pal,
Satan

Hail Satan! I was terribly annoyed when Tampa came to play the Bears outside in January and it was a record high temperature!

Anyway, UncleBeer said:

Don’t know if you watch Futurama, but they had an election, and one of the parties was the Apathetic Party (or something like that, I don’t really care if I get it right). One of the main characters comes to their booth and says, “Yes, this is the one for me. I want to sign up.” The guy manning the booth says he cannot. The character grumbles and says that he doesn’t really care anyway. The guy at the booth whips out a clipboard. The character gets excited. The guy at the booth pulls the clipboard back.

Victoria,

I suspect that people are not too keen to talk with you because you have not demonstrated any desire to actually discuss anything. In your thread entitled “38 Biblical Prophecies…” (or something like that), you put forth a probablity. Several posters brought it to you attention that your math was in error. Instead of checking, or asking them what they meant, you responded by telling them you got an ‘A’ in stats. Well, maybe so, but that doesn’t change the fact that your stats in this case were in error. Then, another poster with a PhD in Mathematics chimed in, gave you his credentials and pointed out that your math was, in fact, wrong. Your response to him was “How do I know you have a PhD in math?”.
Now how is anyone supposed to have a reasonable discussion with you?

Satan you obviously don’t know much about the rapture theory… the kingdomes stay here… all the fans go to a new kingdome…

so does that mean there will be artificial turf in heaven??? {gasp} I hope not.

And speaking of the “38” thread, your assertations were addressed and at least one person asked you polite questions about what you were claiming. You didn’t respond. It seems to me that all you are interested in doing is posting your thoughts, not engaging in discourse. If so, fine, we’ve heard you.

Make that “assertions”. Sorry.

Nav, you speak blaspheme! You know the field in the new kingdome will be gold!

The gold will probably still cause fewer injuries than astroturf…

Jesus saves… Gretzky grabs the rebound… He Scores!

re young posters:

I’ll give you the same answer I gave mishi(sp?) on another thread.

Yes, GodlyGuy is young. Fine. But in the electronic world, age is irrelevant. The caliber of thought is relevant. I’ll cut him the same amount of slack I cut anyone–if I can’t understand it, I’ll call him on it. If it’s factually incorrect, I’ll call him on it. If it’s logically unsound, I’ll call him on it. If it’s personally insulting, I’ll call him on it.

Doesn’t mean I think he’s a bad person. But I come to this board with an open mind to learn from others. I expect others to do the same, regardless of age, sex, religion, skin color, etc.

manhattan, a rocky slope on the side of a mountain would cause less injuries than Astroturf®

What Would Cecil Do?

Vicky Rose–for someone intent on leaving, you sure are taking your time.

BTW, I don’t quite follow the logic of your statement about homosexuals & the practice of homosexuality. How can being one be okay, but acting as one is not? It’s like saying, “Football is okay, but practing football is not.”

Astroturf? Oh, that green concrete stuff. (::said in a VERY condescending voice:: Having spent a good chunk of my life in Yankee Stadium, I don’t have much experience with the stuff :))

On a sign above my desk: Gramen Artificiosum Odi. (which, if I understand correctly, translates to: I hate astroturf)
Bye, bye, Victoria. Too bad you only wanted to hear yourself talk. Try opening your ears sometime, you may learn something (and I don’t mean JUST religious issues). Now, shoo, run off to the other board where everyone will agree with everything you say.

OK, we have enough youth. How about a fountain of smart. =^…^=

andros,
Fair enough. It didn’t hurt anything to bring it up though.

It is obvious that Minxmom hasn’t visited the other board.

Surprisingly we hardly ever agree…

Peace.

Please, people, as DavidB so kindly pointed out, the Bucs are destined to win the Super Bowl, despite the facr that we have no discernibel offense. We carry the divine warmth with us even to the frigid waste of the city with big shoulders.

Consider it Karma. 0-29, Steve Young, Vinne Testaverde, Bo Jackson, th eentire Culverhouse era, those ugly orange uniforms – the karmic wheel has swung, the end time approaches, wolrd champion Bucs!

(of course, I don’t have it on divine authority or anthing.)

The best lack all conviction
The worst are full of passionate intensity.

You beat me Gator. I was gonna point that out. Not that we’d be believed… Quick Gator!! Say something I can disagree with!!
