I love to cook. I don’t generally follow recipes; I think I have a muse. I just make it up as I go along, and have a >90% success rate. The food is ugly, but awesome.
My latest?
Asiago pancakes.
Nothing fancy for the mix. I use whatever comes out of the box, occasionally if there’s enough clean counter space (infrequent, at best) I’ll make 'em from scratch.
So: Pancake mix, however it’s acquired
A generous amount of asiago.
Maybe a little rosemary. Maybe not.
That’s it.
Tried it this weekend, and was floored. I’m thinking of making a large (pan-sized) pancake and pot roast to serve over it. I dunno. Call it “Pots and Pans” or something cutsey like that.
Is this something anyone else has heard of or tried? If anyone’s adventurous and trusting and makes them, I’d love to know what they think.
