Reaching Climax: More Than Just a Feeling MMP

Home!! We’re going to try out the Leonardtown Grille tonight - it opened a few weeks ago and I don’t feel like cooking, sooooo…

I was chatting with an associate at work, telling him about the frozen freezer in the fridge in the new office where I’ll be moving next week. It’s an old-timey freezer inside the fridge itself, and it’s currently wrapped in about 3" of ice. I was thinking about how to defrost it without soaking the carpet in the office, when Dave said something that got me thinking outside the [del]box[/del] office. We just need to take the fridge outside and open the door. In a couple of hours, it’ll be all thawed, and probably dry, too! Then I can wipe it out and we can wheel it back in. Fortunately, all that’s in it is a bottle of Pepsi and a bottle of pancake syrup. Anyway, it was inspiration!

That’s all I’ve got. TGIF! Lots of laundry to be done. But life is good. And this time next week, I’ll be in New Bedford!

Thanks, Nava. That reminds me of the time that I climbed the Peñon de Ifach in Calpé, north of Benidorm, Spain, in the middle of August. I had taken the vaporetta train (Toonerville trolley) up the coast from Alicante, while my ship was making a port visit there. I didn’t make it to the top before the heat got to me. This week’s weather reminds me of that. I see it’s now Spain’s smallest national park. And I see that the coastal train is gone. Several year later (and ago) I noticed that a transit vehicle flooring company was using the photo of the Peñon in their ads, touting its durability, falsely IMHO, á la The Rock of Gibraltar (which I have also climbed several times). That’s my (late) MMP. See the Peñon here:

Home. It’s lovely out, warm, but not humid. Gonna go for a walk then possibly get something done in the garden.

Back later with more bla-bla-bla.

Hugs.

I grilled burgers and made fries but didn’t eat any cause tummy is kinda upset like. I’m sippin’ on some ginger ale hopin’ that’ll calm it down. Hopefully it will calm down soon. Ick!

Well, we had a very good and *VERY *expensive dinner. But we’re stuffded, so there’s that.

The rest of the night will be spent in the chill mode. Tomorrow, I will be very busy. Such is my life…

Feel better, swampster!

Feel better swampy!

Well, I’ve been out for my walk and am now overheated a bit… OK, just a bit [del]sweaty[/del] glowy, but still.

Where is the dinner fairy???

It’s a packed weekend in my neighborhood and in Columbus, so I need to figure out how to get a stuff done (I’ve got both house and garden things to do) AND do some fun things. (We have bike races and a street party and a church festival and a community festival and I want to make it back to the art museum and to a farmer’s market.) We’ll see what I actually get to.

Off to find food.

Didn’t do hardly anything today. Got a little bit of cross-stitch done, found some scripts to use on my portfolio website, wrote the blurbage for my about me page for said website. Looks like I’m going to get together with Rick this weekend, which will be nice.

Since I’m here, I might as well get feedback on the about me schtuff.

  • I’m going to be completely revamping Mom’s website after I get my portfolio updated.

In case you’re wondering, it is possible to be blurfy on a Saturday.

Naturally, I’m up ridiculously early on my day off - stoopit Scruffy.

It got cool enough last night that I was able to open the windows and turn off the air. It won’t last long, but sleeping was nice. And the cats like looking out an open window better than the closed ones.

It will be a laundry-ful day, with some hanging on the clothesline. It’s also change-the-sheets-day and possibly run-to-WalMart for doggy and kitty kibbles. And either today or tomorrow, we have to do an aquarium water change so daughter doesn’t have to deal with it while we’re gone.

Yep, another freekin’ day in paradise!

And just for giggles, let’s harken back to the OP with a few more names - these are food-ish related:

Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and feelin’ a little better. Still don’t wanna eat which could be a good thing, I guess. It ain’t like I’m svelte!

I have been to Hot Coffee, MS. It was on purpose. See, I was travelin’ through Mississippi and I saw the sign pointin’ to Hot Coffee only ten miles away! Well, now, how could I not go! It was fate! It was excitin’ as it sounds.

Friends are comin’ over later this mornin’. Plans are to grill chicken later. Hopefully by then I’ll feel like eatin’ again. Pool time may get cut short as rain and tboomers are supposed to start mid afternoonish. We shall see.

I wish we could count on some rain, with or without the t-boomers. After a nice wet winter and spring, things are getting really dry here. Some of the cornfields are looking sad…

**FCD **is up, so I guess I need to start the laundry. I’m pretty sure the Laundry Fairy is going to avoid me again… that bitch… :stuck_out_tongue:

Up and out to the garden we go…
**
STG**, I’ll have some comments for you after a while. Need to get outside before it gets too hot to work outside.

Happy Sattiday all!

I just grilled a bunch of chicken for dindin and some hot dawgs and brats (the sausage kind cause the other kind is too expensive this time of year  ) for lunch. Everything is in a slow cooker on warm. I decided it’d look all organized if’n I grilled while it was not so hot. Ok, plus, if’n I do decide I need beerverages I won’t mix alchohol with propane gas which is probably not a good idea. Well, it hasn’t stopped me before but today I got smart about it. Go Me!

Oh and it is hawt out already!

Good morning my lovelies. I’m up, I have coffee in hand, and soon I shall commence Operation House Tidying.

We have friends coming over later this afternoon and we’re going to grill. I also need to to hit the store.

My Cappy’s remains are in and I have to go back to his vet to pick them up. I had him cremated. I don’t know what I’m going to do with them, but well, there you have it.

I also need to return a call to the vet we took Polar to. They’re following up on his kennel cough and want to get him scheduled for his rabies shot. Which reminds me, I need to give him his pills.

Other than that, I haven’t got much else going on.

I have no appointments or “meet-ups” today - so I can be productive the whole dazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Morning! We take the boy to camp tomorrow and then he’s off to Costa Rica!

Much to do today!

Soapy does this camp randomly ship kids off to foreign countries? Do they get to come back? I find this idea intriguing!

World’s Best Tenant’s daughter is taking accounting classes at Hofstra University; she’s just finishing her junior year IN HIGH SCHOOL

Whew! I’s all sweaty! Load #4 is in the washer, 2 loads are out on the clothesline, pretty much filling it, so the rest will be tossed in the dryer, the gross section of family room carpet has been cleaned and with the ceiling fan on Med, it should dry quickly. Daughter and **FCD **are at Lowe’s ordering the laminate for her lab table tops - the paint we did last year just didn’t work out well. I’ve got at least 3 more loads to wash - maybe 4. Both beds need to be remade, and I need clean towels in my bathroom.

And it’s barely 10:30!! It’s amazing how much you can get done when you don’t go out for breakfast…

I’ve got a little sewing to do today, then I’m putting my machine away. I need to run the vacuum in the living room and dining room, plus I need to remember to write a check for my cleaning girls for Monday.

I also had to get in touch with the folks who did our windows. When I opened one this morning, the little handle part that I was pulling up popped out of the track, and I’m worried about how much I need to bend it to get it back in. Since it’s only been a few months, I emailed the contractor and I heard back almost immediatedly. They’re going to come out and fix it - quick response and great service! Daughter is off school and will be around for 2 weeks, so having her here to meet the contractor will be easy. Yay!

I need to write them a nice note…

Guessing it was as exciting as my visit to South Park, Colorado about ten years ago.

Ugh, this project is driving me bannannannanas. It takes about 3 minutes for the system to digest each new ID and I have over 300 to create. 900 minutes divided by 60 minutes per hour.. Fifteen hours? ACK!

At least I’m staying inside and cool.

Hmm… Just looked out the window and something dawned on me. There’s an odd sunken part of the front yard at the sidewalk. A few inches into the sidewalk and roughly centered along the depression is what I’m guessing is a plastic cap concealing a sewer cleanout.

:dubious: and Ewww…
