I was on a revival team in Greasy Creek, KY, at Greasy Creek Baptist Church.
Dungannon, Ohio (Dungannongannongannon… etc.)
Home from men’s night. ‘Twas a good time had by all. Lots of good food, good company and good drink (yay for bein’ Whiskypalian!
). We had a good crowd and a spectacular tboomer while the doin’s were goin’ on. Alas, nary a drop at da cave some 13 miles northeast of the church house. The good thing about havin’ an enclosed grillin’ area is one can grill in the midst of a tboomer. Grilled meat, beerverages and lightnin’. Does it get any better!
I always giggle at Humptulips, Washington.
Hey, PicUNurse, it’s good to hear from you!
I don’t know of any oddly named places, at least not that I am aware of…
I have gotten a kick out of reading about everyone else’s though, so thanks!
One down, four to go. Whew, always glad to have Monday over with, that’s for sure.
Mwah!
Another beautiful morning here today, good to see a bit of sun for a change. 'im indoors rang me last night so I know he’s ok. He’s renting a room in someone’s house but I don’t think he will stay there very long as they have a small child and that won’t suit him too well. The bonus is that that they have a little white kitten, kind of a male version of Ophelia, but the kitteh’s quite nervous and runs away from everything and everyone.
Anyway, he’s going to look at a one-bed studio apartment later so he might be moving in there instead. It will suit him better as he’ll have his own space, be able to cook for himself, and he’ll have wifi etc so it will be a big improvement.
I had a lovely evening at home on my own, I should have had a little party but I was too knackered after watering the garden and doing the ironing.
Eh, from where I’m looking, I can’t tell the difference
**Boo **-- I don’t remember if I congratulated the two of you on 'Im Indoors’ new job! (and how weird is it to end up with apostrophes on both ends of the name, legitimately, without it being a ‘quote’? :))
Otherwise, I got nuttin’. Mostly, for the past 10 days or so (and the next few weeks…) I’m either working or watching the World Cup!
Thanks, Lunch! It’s lovely to have the house (and the tv remote) to myself for a while!
We have just had an email telling us that the England v Slovenia match will be shown in one of the med school’s lecture theatres tomorrow afternoon so everyone has permission (management willing) to go and watch it. I wonder if I can just slope off home early instead?
Was that one brought to us by the Pterry Appreciation Club?
Good Mornin’ Y’all. Up, caffienatin’ and sneezin’. Dunno what’s up with the sneezin’ but every couple of minutes I have a sneeze fit! A sneeze fit is several sneezes in a row but y’all knew that right?
Ok, off to do ummm stuff.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Look, it’s NOL! Again! Forgot to congratulate you on Special Teen’s graduation last week. I guess I was too floored. How can she be graduating already? What’s next for her?
Just heard this story this morning (audio’s not there yet, but I didn’t want to forget) about crowdsourcing translation and thought of you, Nava.
Up and about to go out to water as the rain, if there was any last night, fell on the other 50% of town.
Hugs.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.
We got all of the rain up here this morning,** GT**. It was the thunder and lightning that woke me up. Fortunately, it’s calmed down now in time for the doggies to go outside.
Up and at 'em, caffeinated, and eating homemade soup for breakfast.
We had a good hour-long thundershower last night. It cooled things off for my evening walk with the monsters, even if it was a bit humid.
I have class from 8-12 all this week. I think I broke my math bone yesterday.
The class is called Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing: Applications.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Mumpers!!!
rebo, my brain started to bleed just looking at the name of your class!
Quiet around here. I got nuthin.’
Tupug
Coffee Good. What a week. If it weren’t for coffee, this week would be a total wash. We have an inservice every day for the rest of the week. Blargh. Plus we have a work party Thursday night, with at least one corporate type person coming. Plus, we’re trying to get the kids to clean their room: when BIL moves out (YAY!) our son is moving into his old room. So, at long last, they get their own rooms.
Forgot the most famous weird town name in KY: Monkey’s Eyebrow.
You forgot Nether Wallop!
Don’t y’all across the pond have a place called Dorking? How does one dork?
ETA: Whatever it is, those people must do it a lot, if there is a building dedicated to it.
I’m at work!!!

Trust me, I didn’t forget, I was trying to blank it from my mind!
