As I’ve pointed out in an article I’ve written (and on this Board), the Standard Color Code for Resistors and one of the original designs for the Pride flag have something in common – they use a spectrum running from Red to Violet (although the resistor code adds black and brown and silver and gold and gray and white), but it’s only Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-( ) – Violet. There’s no Indigo, despite Roy G. Biv. Because nobody can really distinguish Indigo effectively from blue and violet.
