Really? No Super Bowl LII thread? What about the commercials??!!

I was a bit surprised about that myself. It was like scoring on every drive was a given and the only suspense was whether it would end in a TD or FG.

As an EAGLES fan, just to let you know, walking on the moon feels fantastic.

OMFG!!!

I am trying to imagine how Carson Wentz is feeling right now.

So what are all the records?
So far I’ve got most combined yards ever in a SB, playoff game or ANY game
2nd highest point total in SB history (2nd to the 49ers v Chargers by a point)
Most yards passing ever in a Superbowl (Brady)
1st time a QB has ever caught a TD pass in a SB game
What else?

Like Nick Foles is going to get PAID to start somewhere else.

His leg probably hurts.

Is he eligible for a ring? Guessing not.

Longest FG by a rookie in a SB, which was a record broken twice tonight.

Edit: 42 yds was a record, then he hit 46.

Ah yes, by the guy the Bengals drafted in the 5th round, tried to hide on the practice squad and got plucked by the Eagles. Good use of a fifth rounder there, Bengals.

What a game!

As a Cubs fan, I can look down and see you walking on the moon. That’s great, in its own way.

Well that was a corker. Congrats to Philly. Good game, some combination of great and godawful playing that I was having trouble making sense of. Did anyone pick the over in this game? Also, Blount playing against us was even worse than I thought it would be.

The commercials: Dirty Dancing Eli and Odell for the win.

I heard on the radio earlier in the week that the over was something like 58 points. If you took that and threw down some cash, you got a nice payday.

Ambivalent, I presume. With that is a bit of arrogance, because he would have to presume Philly would have won if he started the game.

He’s on the injured list for the team. I thought everyone on the team got a ring, even if not able to play in the SB. He played most of the season to get them there, didn’t he?

Most 6-point touchdowns (failed XPs/2pt conversions)?

Yes, Wentz will get a ring. He started the Eagles’ first thirteen games.

Generally, everyone on the roster (even on injured reserve) gets a ring, as well as the coaching staff, the training staff, and all of the front office people, as well.

And they have to be careful not to show it to Vladimir Putin, unless they want to send an Alliance to cut it off his finger!

Yeah, when our team won the SB, I recall even our local radio announcer got a ring (though, he had actually been on the team decades earlier).

I didn’t like it either. The right sentiment, but poorly placed.

Yeah, an idiotic comment from Collinsworth. I usually like his commentary though.

I think you’re right!

These tied records:

Fewest punts (1)

Fewest punt return yards (0)
