Americans have been taught that body hair is disgusting. Thus, women shave their legs and armpits, a man with a hairy chest or back is mocked, and men think shaving their heads is preferable to using other ways to hide baldness. A woman shaving public hair is no different than manscaping.
A man’s beard is now acceptable, but that and the hair on the head of men and women are the only things that are currently stylish.
And it is a matter of style. For some reason (partly due to advertising and porn) people have decided that the style is to be as smooth as possible.
For my own preferences, I don’t give a rat’s ass how a woman shaves her body (or if she does it at all). But I judge women primarily on their personality, not their physical attributes.

And still the point is that plenty of women like shaved men, it does not matter for the point of this thread unless it was a significant minority (say under 20%).

First of all, just how many women did you ask IRL? You do realize that not everyone grew up in the 90s or later. Hair (head, facial, body and pubes) fashion changes and a good share of us are from another generation (yes, Junior, people your parents’ age and older still have sex) and prefer things a bit more natural.
Next, not all women style their pubes to suit a man. Shoot, not all women even want to fuck one.:eek:As they say, different strokes and all.
Women under the age 40 - 45 need to shave down there. Not to do so is rude in my opinion. It doesn’t have to be completely bald, but it does need to be trimmed and short.
Just curious, why is 40-45 the cutoff in your view?

Neither do I, so I can accept that we can’t know, merely speculate.
And since our speculations differ then rather than get lost in side issues, I could simply point out that the main point I am arguing is that it would be absurd to claim that women who do prefer men who are well shaved would not normally be accused of having pedo tendencies.
This does not mean that my opinion about what women prefer has changed materially, as that isn’t the point of this thread. Feel free to start a thread about women preferring guys sporting facial hair.

I said something that I believed was true, backed up by a study (with no opposing poll or study that I am aware of) and seems to be true based on my personal experience, watching TV and movies (wives and girlfriends who have not been fond of the’r guys facial hair) etc…
Now once you said you didn’t agree, I did not bother to argue that you must be wrong, I pointed out that it simply isn’t really relevant.
You seem to have a facial hair axe to grind.
BTW most guys do most things to attract women, at least that is a well known meme. And most guys do not have facial hair.
Now bring on the complaints and asking me to cite my sources when I say that guys try to impress women and that most men don’t have significant facial hair.

Anecdotal I admit, but that’s my age range. I grew up right at the cusp of shaving it down there. Or at least the cusp was right around the age I became interested in sex. (80’s)
Anybody older than me, the social norm was NOT shaving.
