Everyone is ignoring the real issue, which is that The Mindy Project is a terrible show. It’s mostly a one-note riff on Kaling’s character’s weight and other physical inadequacies that can’t be salvaged even by the otherwise stellar cast.
Also, most women wouldn’t look like children if they removed their public hair unless the children in question have a glandular disorder. It’s a silly comparison. Ultimately everyone should just do what they feel and mind their own darn business WRT others’ hygienic choices.
That one “poll” of 200 women (from Canada and Australia, which seems an odd combination) said that beards make men seem “older and more aggressive.” In my experience that = sexy, even if the women don’t say as much.
I’m a straight guy and I’ve been sexually active for around 15 years. I’ve never seen a bald one. Granted I’ve mostly been married and in long term relationships, but the normal style I’ve seen is “trimmed”.
Until 5 years ago I was always clean shaven, except for an unfortunate “Amish beard” period when I was a teenager. As soon as I stopped shaving, I started receiving a lot more attention from women, including my ex wife. For the past 5 years I have gone anywhere from stubble to full beard (neatly groomed) but never been clean shaven. I could go make an online dating profile right now and have 5 dates today based on my picture. That would never happen clean-shaven (for me).
If a another woman is clean-shaven, I will happily lick her through as many orgasms as she wants. Without such, the hair bothers me so much it’s difficult to do more than one. Just sayin’.

If porn was an accurate gauge of how preferences in sex, a lot more women would enjoy getting an eyeshot of semen. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the case.
I think it’s a visual thing, pornnoisseurs like to see sex in graphic detail, and hair blocks it out. In Japan, genitals are censored, so hair or lack there of is unimportant.
I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think it rises to that degree for me. It is a little easier to get busy on a shaved vulva, but the differential isn’t so great as to keep me from anything. I might have to stop a bit more often to clear the field, as it were, but not so much that one would notice.

Con:
Pubes can trap pee, and other possibly unwanted tastes/smells.
Pubes can get in the mouth during oral sex, which is offensive to some.
Some people find the absence of pubes aesthetically pleasing.
Pro:
It’s less work.
It’s “natural”.
Some vulvas aren’t as pretty as others, and pubic hair hides their imperfections.
That’s my list. It certainly doesn’t have to be yours. Personally, with the ladies I’m involved with currently, I prefer them shaven or at least nicely trimmed. But if they feel like going full 70s bush, that’s their decision. It’s ultimately every woman’s decision, which may or may not be influenced by their SO.
The only thing I hope we can all agree on, is that people who prefer shaved pubes are not pedophiles, any more than people who prefer shaved beards or legs, or for that matter people who prefer small-breasted women or pigtails. Only people who are sexually attracted to children are pedophiles.

I personally love it to be shaved as it makes the in and out a lot smoother, the hair seems to dry out the natural lubrication. I don’t like picking hair out of my teeth, I want to see it in all it’s glory not have it be hidden from sight from me. If there is any hair I only like a small landing strip all above the playzone. I also don’t like piercings, I don’t want any metal in my mouth, just her and not some foreign object. I can’t stand pierced nipples either. I don’t see what people enjoy from that?
