Recast Star Trek with your favorite show.

In this thread, kaylasdad99 had this idea. (based on this post from DiggitCamera)

This one is actually pretty easy.

Capt. Harry Stone
First Officer Mack Robinson
Tactical Officer Bull Shannon
Ship’s Counselor Christine Sullivan
Security Chief Selma Hacker
“Q”-Dan Fielding
Brent Spiner in character as Data reprising Bob Wheeler

Bonus roles for John Larroquette
Unnamed officer who breaks Capt. Kirk’s record for intergalactic relations.
Unseen crewmember “Who locked himslf in the holodeck”.

I’ll play-- how about Bones?

Capt Kirk- Seely Booth
Mr. Spock- Temperance Brennan, of course
Dr. “Bones” McCoy- Camille
Scotty- Hodgins
Uhura- Angela (although Uhura was a lot cooler in every way than Angela)
Sulu- Dr. Sweets

Northern Exposure

Captain Maurice Minnefield
Dr. Joel Fleishman
First Officer Maggie O’Connell
Communications Officer: Chris “in the morning” Stevens
Chief Engineer Holling Vencour
Yeoman Shelly Tambeau
Helmsman: Ed Chigliak

Did someone call a “Taxi”?

Capt. Alex Reiger
First Officer Rev. Jim Ignatowski
Dr. Louie DePalma
Communications officer Lt. Elaine Nardo
Chief of Engineering Latka Gravas
Helmsman Bobby Wheeler
Navigator Tony Banta

Adam West is the only man who could out-Shatner Shatner.

And the Batman guest stars give us Vincent Price as the eggheaded science officer, Burgess Meredith as the cantankerous doctor, Bruce Lee as the combat-expert helmsman, and Eartha Kitt handling communications – with Frank Gorshin down in engineering [del]and black on the right side[/del].

Oh, and Burt Ward swaps in as Chekov, naturally.

Not to mention Victor Buono as Harry Mudd.

As well as Julie Newmar as Nurse Chapel.

Plus Malachi Throne as José Mendez.

And Yvonne Craig as Orion slavegirl.

I can do this all day.

Captain James T. “Barney” Miller
First Officer Arthur “Spock” Dietrich
Navigator Ron “Sulu” Harris
Helmsman Stan “Wojochekov” Wojciehowicz
Doctor Fish
Chief Engineer Nick Yemena
Communications Officer Carl Levitt

I’d love to see this show!

Captain Drew Carey
First Officer Nigel Wick
Navigator Steve Carey
Helmsman Lewis Kinisky
Doctor Oswald Harvey
Chief Engineer Joe Walsh
Communications Officer Mimi Bobeck

West Wing:

Captain: Jed Bartlett
First Officer: Leo McGarry
Communications: Toby Zeigler
Doctor: Abby Bartlett
Helms: Josh “Lemon” Lyman
Engineering: Sam Seaborn

Where No Man Has Met Your Mother Before!

Kirk - Barney Stinson
Spock - Ted Mosby
McCoy - Marshall Erickson
Scotty - Lily Aldrin
Sulu - Robin Scherbotzky

I was thinking Dan Fielding as first officer but I have to agree about Mack.
How about DF as the engineering officer?
Also can you picture Worf briefing Bull about the tactical situation as he goes off duty and Bull comes on?
Worf: :::three minute monologue about the tactical situation:::
Bull: Okey Dodkey.

First Officer, or Klingon Commander?

What about Cesar Romero?

KHAAAAaAAN!

Ash from Army of Darkness as Captain.

Ricardo Montalban was Khan.

Captain Jack Donaghy
First Officer Pete Hornblower (heh)
Doctor Mulroney
Communications Officer Jordan (Until he sees his boobs and goes to his quarters)
Captain’s Yeoman Cerie
Navigator Frank
Helmsman Toofer

The occasional unbalanced Commodore Hooper

And Special Guest Star Tina Fey as Cruise Director Liz Lemon. Who constantly eats up the Captain’s time with the problems of her relatively minor department.

Captain Donaghy: “Great Bird of the Galaxy Lemon! I have an entire ship to run!”

I think one of us whooshed the other.

I got to wondering what Johnny Carson could have done with TNG back in the day.

Ed McMahon - Chief Engineer
Carol Wayne - Ship’s Counselor
Johnny - everyone else

At an anime convention in the early 1980’s I saw a wonderful short that I haven’t been able to track down since. All the scenes were an abbreviated editing of ST:TNG’s Encounter at Farpoint. All the vocal tracks were from Duck Dodgers of the 25 1/2 Century, Picard was Duck Dodgers, Ryker was 1st Mate Porky Pig. Q was Marvin the Martian. It was seamless and hilarious. After that I could never see Ryker look at Picard again, without remember him saying “B-b-b-b-b-big deal.”

Capt. Merrill T Steubing
First Officer Gopher Smith
Dr. Adam “Bones” Bricker
Vickie “Wesley” Steubing
Isaac Washington - either Chief Engineer, or master of 10-Forward
Cruise Director/ship’s counselor Julie (no last name, like Ilia of Delta)

And the mother would be a red shirt!
