Recharging the MMP

Happy Toosday!

It’s a N.O.S. 66 degrees outside.

I didn’t sleep well last night and feel like crap this morning.
I have to go out again today, including stopping by the car wash for the truck. It seems to be a favorite target for the birds.

Time for some breakfast, and then out the door.

I have finished the ordeal known as packin’ for a trip. I have an ensemble suitable for a weddin’, pullover shirts, shorts, jeans, socks, undies, groomin’ necessities, sleep stuff, shoes, belts and even a jacket cause it’s supposed to be rainy. If’n it ain’t packed, I shall learn to live without it for a while.

Guess who’s taking a nap in my lap?

BLURF Was at irk early as it’s the first and tons of stuff to do. I have my car at the dealership for it’s service. Last day of irk for my best clerk.

Just finished inventory and as usual it is perfect. We rarely have any losses which is a good thing.

We sold $173K so I have a ton of A/P this month. That is what girl is working on. Printing out the reports I use to pay my vendors. Next up is credit card statement and fuel card/maintenance of vehicles, patron counts and then a/p. There is no way I will finish all that today.

Tis still very overcast but not like yesterday. there is a 75% chance of rain today.

Congrats Red

but where are pictures???

Clearly your list was incomplete. :smack:

With you, that could mean heating them until they 'splode.

What unusual weddin’ attire. Does one where the shorts over the jeans, or the jeans over the shorts?

Also, look into estate sale companies. It’s like a yhad sale w/o the hassle (but some additional expense.)

Went to the dentist for the check-up routine and have to go back tomorrow — some stuff under a crown that has to be dealt with. Other than that some Dope and playing with Flytrap in last weeks MMP.

Yay! All approved, I’m getting keys to the flat on the 16th! Looks like I’ve found a reasonable priced van hire as well; I can’t work out why one location would be £80, and another- same company, same vehicle- would be £28, but that appears to be the case.
Anyone wanna help me move? I’ll provide beer 'n pizza

Waiting patiently for the plumbing folks to come to replaces some piping and the pressure regulator to see if I can get a better water flow in the house. They said last week that they’d be here by 9am, I’ll give them to noon before I call. Also need to call the guy who took the measurements for my doors to give me a replacement estimate two weeks ago and I haven’t heard back.

Guess I’m too nice a guy…

For some reason I can’t quite fathom, I am seriously considering buying an automatic pasta maker…one of those that mixes and extrudes the pasta automatically. I don’t really know why I need one, but sometimes these odd fancies take hold. Anybody else got one and is it a good idea?

swampy, I’ve gotten better with packing as I age…used to take way to much stuff and easily could fill 2 suitcases for a week. Now can manage with a carry-on.

Red, is it someone we know??

Butters, sounds like you have things well in hand…until tomorrow or Murphy, whichever comes first.

Nut, tempting offer, but I think it’s a bit far (you’re in GB, right?)

I often cook food on the grill in this manner.
Animals and small children have been slightly injured by exploding zucchini.

Lunch is over. Back to work. It’s a busy day!!!

Got my morning stuff done.
The low tire light came on and I got that taken care of as well.

Congrats Red! Need pics!

Congrats on new place Nuts.
Flytrap, I have Crepe Myrtle

:D[sup]11[/sup]

Glad I finally showed up to this week’s MMP. I know the answer to Ruble’s question. “You gunky” was a term of… endearment(?) brought to us by Bill Cosby.

Yay Red!!

Congrats on the new place Nut!

Have fun at the wedding Swampy. Sounds tropical.

Have fun at the weddin’ swampy!

wet one and sari, pics are on the SD FB page Straight Dopers | Facebook He’s quite the handsome puppy, if I do say so myself.

nuts, some areas have more folks moving into them than out. The reason that you will sometimes get a good deal on a trip out of the popular city is that the moving company doesn’t have to transport all of the trucks in that city back to other cities empty.

We went to PetSmart for flea treatment. I think he was a little overwhelmed because he wanted to be held while we were there. I got a little worried that he wasn’t eating (other than the treats in the chew toy) or drinking, so I put some bottled water in his dish and put it in the crate. He drank some. And yes, he goes into the crate without having to be coaxed. I have an errand to do this afternoon where he can’t go, so we’re doing a practice crating while I’m gone.

red squee! Nelson is such a keeeyooooootie!

Nuts congrats! Hope the move goes well.

Butters better you than me. :stuck_out_tongue: Hope the rain holds off at least.

I have a jacket (blazer), slacks, tie, white shirt, and appropriate shoes to wear to the weddin’. That is a proper weddin’ ensemble. The other clothin’ is to wear whilst I roam about etc in Ye Olde Home Towne. SHEESH!

That would indeed make sense- however, in this case, both branches are in the same city, just one is the central depot and one is the north depot, and in both cases I’d be returning the van to the same rental place.

The less popular depot being cheaper I can understand, but not quite to that extent.

I cannot see puppeh pics. I has a sad.

Taking the landlord to Sheffield tomorrow to pick up stuff, which means staying the night at his mate’s place. Sometimes I wish he’d just learn to drive. Oh well, he’s paying.

Supper was cheeseburgers, sans bread, onions-n-Amish N.O.T.s, and Amish 'maters. YUM!

I think I’ll plant myself in front of TV to watch the news and make more wigs. Chillage shall ensue.

We have dined upon yestiddy’s leftovers. OYKW is on his way to Monkey Town where he will spend the night and part of the day tomorrow with a cousin before headin’ to the wilds of west Alabammy. I’m glad he gets a chance to visit with his cousin plus this breaks up the ride for him which is also good. As for me I plan to be on the road to Ye Olde Home Towne by no later than nine a.m. We shall see how that goes. I am in no big hurry to get there as sis will be at irk until mid-afternoon.

Thus is life in southwest Jawja.
