Well OK then, I’ll just talk to myself! I shall shortly retire unto the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. Actually feelin’ a little sleepy but tryin’ not to just right now cause I don’t want to be wide awake at four a.m. Still feelin’ sleepified.
I took Gordie for a walk, took the Volvo for a spin, and took a nap. making Chipolte BBQ chicken with tequila lime rice, and green beans with bacon, red pepper, and tomato.
sticky!
: tacklehug :
Then it’s worth it. And congrats on the place(I’d help you move if the station wagon was more amphibious. )
I am going to take the kids up to Timberline on Mt Hood tomorrow. We’ll see family, the kids will visit the cement pond, and, hopefully, we’ll get in at least a short hike.
We saw the “Emoji Movie”. It wasn’t as horrid as I was expecting.
Home from work. Found out the ride-boss from the club I helped start got killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday or maybe Sunday. That makes one dead and two crippled from that group this year. One of the reasons I didn’t hang on after helping them get chartered and all was too many of the guys went a little too fast for conditions sometimes and had a habit of a couple drinks with lunch. Not my kinda thing on two wheels. The car driver looks to be the more at fault but I have a feeling speed by the bike reduced the time to dodge.
Well, the plumbing is done and I never realized how low my water pressure had gotten until the replaced it and I turned the faucets on…I think filling the bathtub will be a lot quicker tomorrow.
Watched Red and Red2 tonight, mostly because of John Malkovitch as a slightly mad ex-agent. Didn’t care for the second quite as much, because I saw the ending coming halfway through, but it was still good entertainment.
Volunteered some more for soccer, we’ll see if they need my services or not.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 91 and cloudy for the day. ‘Tis 65 Amurrkin in Ye Olde Home Towne and cloudy with a predicted high of 89 and cloudy for the day. Rain allegedly starts tomorrow. Since I tend to bring icky weather with me, no doubt that will be so. I’m considerin’ takin’ a scenic route up this mornin’ just cause. I’m in no hurry so it might be fun to ride up on a less traveled state highway.
{{{Ruble}}} so sorry about your friend.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. I think I shall purtify in a bit and go feed tummy a McBrekkie. I shall report in from Ye Olde Home Towne so y’all won’t miss me too much.
**MetalMouse **- I agree with you about Malcovich - he’s hilarious in those movies, altho I didn’t like the second one near as much as the first. Have you seen Dangerous Liaisons? He’s amazing in that role - very serious and tragic. He makes up for the awful Keanu Reeves performance.
Safe travels, swampy!! I hope the weather cooperates for the wedding day.
Found out **FCD **will be moving into the building across the parking lot from us in 2 weeks. I don’t know if I mentioned, but the company bought all 7 buildings in this office park and they’ve been doing work in the only vacant one for the team **FCD **is on. He said next Firday, they’re supposed to pack all their stuff and over the weekend, movers will bring it from the old site to the new one. Right now, there’s a crew running 'puter lines between our building and the one they’ll be occupying. I had to park elsewhere because they trenched along the parking lot, and today, the conduit and cables are going in.
I doubt that he and I will ride in together, tho - his schedule is erratic. We shall see how it goes.
Leftover from last week: moooom, I have no real preference for a dopefest but I liked the idea of a park thing rather than a restaurant. We had thought the Saturday (26th) might suit people if anyone has to travel far, it’s the day before we fly home so we could have a free afternoon for it. I just need someone to organise it and tell me where to show up and what strange puppet/squid/goat combination to look out for.
From this week - what recharges me? Well I’ve just spent a long weekend away at a music festival, that always does the trick. Although it would be fair to say it wipes me out at the same time. The gym does the same thing, I really enjoy going and working out but I’m exhausted at the end of it.
Irk is irksome, having had a bit of time off, I find that my line manager has managed to screw up something that was fine when I left, and it’s taken me two days to fix that. Plus we have timetable queries coming at us from all directions that people want sorted out AT ONCE!!! but we can’t do that because a) we’re too busy fixing exam problems, and b) it’s so complicated that it’s not an easy thing to do.
Is it home time yet? And why is it still 15 days until my holiday?
I agree with FCM, see Red first, it is much the superior movie, the second is fun (in a violent way), but not quite as tightly plotted, IMHO.
Slept in all the way to 7:15am today, nothing much on the schedule, so I’m off to toast raisin bread to break fast. Looks like besides coaching and refereeing soccer, I am going to be the U6 Division coordinator for this season’s soccer. That means recruiting and vetting coaches, organizing practices and monitoring play and dealing with complaints. Oh joy.
Home from the dentist and avoiding phrases like Suffering Succotash. Running a temp crown for a few weeks while the real one gets made. Listening to a lot of Pink Floyd right now.
bLURF Here. Present and accounted for. I don’t want to be here though. I had to leave my precious Lucky Louie home today because the Director asked me to give him a ride home as he is having some work done on his car and he lives up my way. So, it is kinda lonesome in my office today.
I am still sleepy. I still have some bills to pay but I made great progress yesterday.
Ruble Sorry about your friend. Red little Nelson is a sweety pie.
Crazy busy morning - for some reason, everything I got today was urgent!!! OMG!!! I’ve got 2 drawing that I need to finish before the end of the day and several “whenever you can get to it” fixes. Not stressful, fortunately, but definitely busy.
And I’ve gotten 3 calls on my cell today - all of which I ignored - at least 1 was a scammer, and one was a wrong number. I can got for weeks with nary a call, then they come in clumps!! Weird.
Off to surf a few more minutes before I have to dive back into the fray…
