Friends made Bacon Snack bars (containing Tang) yesterday. He stated that they were ‘surprisingly interesting’. I don’t know what that even means, and since they’re in Chicago and I’m not, I didn’t have the opportunity to find out.
This may be an extremely local phenomenon, but there are several joints around here that serve a hamburger topped with cole slaw and chopped peanuts. I ordered one, once, just to find out what everyone was raving about, and, while I won’t say it tasted like Hitler’s testicle (singular – “Hilter has only got one ball!”), I have never chosen to order it again.
Worms and dirt looks like it sounds, but tastes yummy.
Amy Sedaris’s book I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence has some very interesting recipes in it as well. Some of which sound a bit shocking, but are probably quite tasty.
Mimi’s Cafe serves this as the dessert in their kids’ meal. The Princess, who loves Mimi’s Cafe for this reason, was looking over my shoulder as I clicked on the link and is now requesting Worms in Dirt for dessert.
