Red wine with beef, white wine with fish...

In all fairness, if the pizza came from a restaurant whose main business is carry-out and/or delivery, I agree with her assessment.

If the pizza is home-made or at a fancy restaurant, a good wine goes great with it.

Well, we had our party today, and a fine time was had by all. We had WAY too much pizza, WAY too much pop (I think they took about three cans out of my 36, and someone else brought about five two-liter bottles as well), and WAY too many desserts. Also, people brought their own beverages, so I think it’s safe to say my concern that there wouldn’t be enough to drink was wasted. Oh well!

Wine goes with pasta, but beer goes with pizza. Or, on the non-alcoholic side, root beer, cola, or whatever the name is for the variety of pop that includes Dr Pepper.

You should definitely have both sugar and diet versions available, but I don’t see the big deal with caffeinated or not, since it doesn’t affect the flavor. Personally, all else being equal I’d prefer caffeine-free (but with sugar), since caffeine doesn’t really do anything good for me, but you can hardly ever find that.

I’m guessing her co-workers are either hyperactive or Mormon.
