Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Same here. I’m not one for sweets, but peanut butter and chocolate, or chocolate-covered pretzels will get me every time, even though Reese’s peanut butter is pretty sweet, as is.

Nuts + chocolate is a classic flavor combination. If you don’t like that combo, fine, but otherwise, I don’t see the mystery in liking chocolate and peanut butter.

Yup. However, mix that PB with some powdered sugar, a little melted butter, some finely crushed graham crackers as a binder, then dip in chocolate and you’ve got some buckeye goodness.

As the old commercials explained for us, the chocolate/peanut butter combination is not something that anyone would think to try, since most people eat chocolate and peanut butter by themselves, but when a serendipitous accident happens, we find that the combination is astonishingly delicious!

I’d rather have real nuts and good chocolate any day.

Or a peanut butter s’more. Traditional s’more, with a thick layer of peanut butter on one of the graham crackers. Heavenly!

I do that all the time - usually one of those miniature Kinder bars in a jar of Skippy’s. It tastes terrific.

It also might explain my weight issues.

nut sweat?

Reese’s PB cups are very good, but I can get very sick of it very quickly. So in small doses mixed in with plain chocolate treats it has some staying power with me. I think its appeal is because it’s not as sweet as plain chocolate and has a saltier peanutty taste. For instance I like peanut butter M&Ms which is just the peanutty stuff inside a candy shell. There’s no chocolate there, but the shell offers a sweet contrast to the peanutty interior.

It’s really good that is why it tastes good.

I know Reeses make’s flavors of chocolate/peanut butter cups, and the only kind I hate is dark chocolate + peanut butter. So it might be something about that combo that is off putting

I don’t get the attraction of mint as a dessert flavor (Thin Mints, mint chocolate chip ice cream, Junior Mints). Mint is for toothpaste and cigarettes and Vapo-Rub, not candy.

But chocolate and peanut butter is a no-brainer

Mint is for everything.

Ratio matters: I like the Reese’s miniatures a lot more than the standard cups. There is a little more chocolate in the miniatures and it somehow makes all the difference to me.

I bought a new kind of Reese’s PB about a week ago, but I can’t find it even on the Reeses website. It was a segmented hard chocolate bar in I think a 4 by three grid, with PB inside every square. It was better than a PB cup I have to admit, and I love PB cups.

aha found a picture.

FTW

NOT to be confused with the miniature peanut butter cups. These come in a bag, they’re not individually wrapped, and each is about half the size of a Hershey’s Kiss. And they are perfection.

I love the Reese’s PB cups but they seem to have changed at some point. They seem to be oily underneath the last few years and I don’t think they were always like that. I still love 'em.

What are you going on about!?

Dip a quality dark chocolate bar into a jar of peanut butter and you’re that much closer to heaven!

And don’t even get me started on the chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels from Trader Joe’s!

Those things are like little crack nuggets. Addictive and awesome!

I’m the opposite. To me, the standard cup ratio is perfect. The mini cup ratio is vile.

Not a fan of thin mints or junior mints, but I do like mint choc chip ice cream. The coolness of the ice cream balances the mint in a similar way to the sweet and salty balance of a pb cup.
