Rejoice, children of the 90s! Old School Nickelodeon Returns, sort of!

I know at least some of you guys grew up on Nickelodeon in the 90s. So starting Mon the 25th, there’s going to be old Nick on Nickelodeon at midnight.

I hope it includes plenty of Are You Afraid of the Dark, Alex Mack, and Doug. What shows do you remember and love on Nick from the 90s?

I don’t know.
::looks up nervously::

GUTS and Legend of the Hidden Temple. Nickelodeon’s game shows were always great fun to watch, though Nick Arcade was a bit of a flub. I watched an episode of Hidden Temple recently and was surprised to find it’s still a fun watch.

Weinerville was goddamn genius, but I was 11 when I last watched it, so grain of salt there. :stuck_out_tongue:

My mad crush on Melissa Joan Hart started with Clarissa Explains It All.

I want to see some Hey Dude and the Adventures of Pete and Pete. And that show with Dave Coulier just to hear him say “Cut. It. Out.” once.

I thought Dave Coulier did that catch phrase on Full House? Or did he also do it on a Nick show?

Yeah, it’s his “thing” that he carried with him from his earlier days as a comedian. According to IMDB, the show I’m thinking of was Out of Control and ran from 1984-1985, so it probably won’t be included.

:frowning:

Ah, I never realized what roots that catch phrase had.

I hope for Pete and Pete, too. That show was wonderfully surreal in a way I don’t see in any kids’ (or adults’) shows these days.

What about 80’s Nick? you Can’t Do That On TelevisionThe Third Eye? Wasn’t Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse on there too? I feel ignored.

As a kid, my favorites were Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Angry Beavers. I’ll be looking forward to the last three, especially Rocko (assuming it’s on during this new slot). Legends is already on Nick GAS.

Yeah, 90’s Nick is New School Nick to me. I want my Out of Control, Livewire, Special Delivery, Tomorrow People, Third Eye! That’s Old School, man.

I still have the hots for Moose from YCDTOT.

I’ve actually spent the last few days watching old episodes of Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life.

I used to love the Angry Beavers. I should get started on those.

Seconded heartily. That, and the “animated” snerk DC Comics.

Seconded lustily.

SNICK

You can’t beat original SNICK
“Clarisa Explains it All”
“Roundhouse”
“Reny and Stimpy”
“Are you Afriad of the Dark”
“The Adventures of Pete and Pete” - Artie, the strongest man in the world
“Secret World of Alex Mack”
“Kenan and Kel”

It is gonna be fun to watch these show as a sober grown up now, and not a drunk college student

Nick will be dead to me unless I see some Clarissa, Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

And Pete and Pete. How’d I leave that out?

Ren and Stimpy. That is all.

Can I get some Catdog and what channel did Bonkers come on? Probably wasn’t Nick but yeah…

Fuck Bonkers in his kitty cat ass. That knocked Ducktales off the DISNEY afternoon.

I did a marathon of Salute Your Shorts on poor quality VHS tapes a couple weeks ago. Not as good as a 30 year old as an 11, but still enjoyable and I was amazed how much that show got away with.

I think my first ever fantasy was a threesome with.ZZ and Clarissa!

For those who mentioned “Hey Dude” it’s coming out on DVD here in the coming weeks.

And I second everything listed with a big yes to Legends of the Hidden Temple

Must’ve been cold on the set while filming the final Sen. Prevert segment for the “Vacation” episode.
