Well, technically, yes, it was the “Vicious Chicken of Bristol” but I don’t need any competition on the evil, vicious, cruel adjective front so that’s why I just shortened it to “Chicken of Bristol.” There’s already Evil Ghandi, oldscratch and Satan. Plus, then whoever takes the name has the option of whether or not he/she wants to be thought of as vicious.
I know what it’s like to be cursed with a loaded username like that. I get the “not-quite-evil-beth”/“your name is a lie–you’re not evil at all!”/“you can’t do nice things–you’re supposed to be ‘evil’” thing all the time–I was trying to save someone else from the horror!! 
You can be Four Pounds of Cheese. I’d suggest Sergeant Whackamole, but that’s a name I use on other boards sometimes.
Sometimes I call myself Reverend Whackamole. Depends on my mood.

Well, that’s another vote for Thea Logica (I actually thought of that one as I was walking home from church the other day.
The more I think about it, the more I like it.

A) If you don’t like your current name you can have the mods switch you to a new one. You’d need to email them and explain the situation, don’t just start using another one without alerting them.
B) Of course we only have one username - that’s why the others are unused!
C) How about Vermicious Knid? You can make “vermicious” mean whatever you want, depending on your mood…heck, you could even be the Vermicious Chicken of Bristol…

Instead of dispensing half-assed holy wisdom, I will now be dispensing knowledge of God. Which, by the way, is a lot easier to achieve than holy wisdom.** Understanding **God, now that’s another story.
I’ve e-mailed our esteemed mods Uncle Beer and Tuba Diva, who seem to share an e-mail address, to request the change be formalized.
Of course, I’m going to have to come up with a new sig line, so that when Satan gets back from Georgia, he won’t realize it’s me…

Congrats, Thea Logica! (I’m gonna use your soon-to-be username now.) I like the sound and connotation - very nice. I thought Dalessena had a neat history but the name itself was a toss-up. Thea Logica is much better.
(And brachyrhynchos means something along the lines of bristled-beak, a crow characteristic. Being a woman, my own beak is bristle-free.)

I also kind of dug prokov and polyeleoi. Prokov sounds a bit masculine though, despite its associations with the Blessed Mother, and if anyone on the board read rocking chair’s post and knew what it meant, I’d never hear the end of the oil jokes…
It’s not Christian, but Aspasia will get people talking.
