Reno 911!

Wow. For as great as I thought season one rocked, the first ep of season 2 blew hard.

The only funny part was “Rooty-tooty Trudy” visiting the sick kids and scaring the hell out of them. Too bad I saw that scene about 500 times in promos for the show.
The first season was quirky, but it’s like they’re just trying too hard now. Hope things get better. I’m soooooo disappointed. :frowning:

The characters definitely seemed like they were trying too hard to be wacky and funny. I saw that “dog doesn’t belong to the man” thing a mile away. Ditto with Weigel’s date. When they had the naked running man, I was about to turn the TV off because I thought I had seen that ep before. Don’t get me wrong, there were some funny parts, like …errr… well, there probably were but I’ve forgotten them already. I was really hoping for something better.

Oh, come on. It was a fantastic episode.

Naked man had been done several times, but the attack of the naked men was a great twist.

That Weigel would have a man in her house, and that particular man was also a surprise, and funny.

Dangle loosing his bike bit always kills me.

And the public service announcement rocked.

IMO.

Peace.

Not to mention:the whole Dangle/Kenny Rogers/Garcia it was all a gay dream opener!
Also Dangle asking the two guys done up with face paint & wigs if they’re going to the game, and them saying, “Ahhh, no.”

Who was he? I didn’t recognize him.

Eh, it wasn’t my favorite episode ever, but I’m not going to stop watching it just because of it.

Discussing the ep with some people at work, I remembered Weigel’s called “plum smugglers.” Now that’s funny!

Wow that sentence didn’t make any sense. Insert the phrase “Dangle’s shorts” where appropriate.

“See you on Monday!”

Dangle didn’t loose his bike; in fact he chained it to a fence. Somebody else loosed it.

I missed the first two minutes; how did they explain the ending of last season?

It was all a dream. A gay dream with Kenny Rogers and Lt Dangle (as dreamt by Garcia). No lie, that’s the explination.

I don’t know why anyone’s complaning. This was just another great episode. I laughed out loud from begining to end.

“Happy Birthday”

The dog…
All too funny.

Okay; how do you have a dream sequence in a pseudo-documentary? Never mind. I thought the shooting would turn out to be part of a double-cross practical joke, turning the perpetrator of the joke (Jones) into the stooge.

A dream within a dream. Kenny Rogers dreamed the shooting woke up and found himself in bed with Dangle. Then Garcia woke up in the meeting room with everyone there.

I was a little disappointed too, but then I realized that I didn’t really start appreciating the first season until I had viewed the episodes two or three times.

I have faith that the show still has some good laughs in it. It’s really the wuiet details of the show that are brilliant rather than the big sight gags or slapstick stuuf. Weigel’s clueless racism, for instance.

And I agree with Moriah that Dangle getting his bike stolen never gets old.

Yeah, that was funny.
