Was the actress trying to protray something I didn’t pick up on?]
I’m puzzled by that scene too. Maybe she wanted to apologize for being so harsh, er, honest with them, about their behavior. I couldn’t tell from her expression. Or maybe she just wanted to be sure they were gone. 
That conversation (Tommy and the daughter) was one of the most well-written father-daughter talks I’ve seen on film. It made me want to see more of that kid. Well-acted too. In just a few seconds, Tommy realized that he couldn’t talk down to her.
I haven’t caught all of every episode this season so maybe I’ve missed it, but I’m glad it’s not all about Tommy’s penis again.
They seem to have moved on to Michael J. Fox’s penis.
