good morning folks! FCM, one of my brothers sent me a box of See’s chocolates for Christmas; wish I could send you one of them, because they are the best chocolates I’ve ever had. There is almost no way I could eat a Russell Stover chocolate again. Almost. LOL Seriously though the See’s chocolates are damn good.
Doggio, fingers crossed that the NHL will have a season after all; it’s looking pretty good right now, from what I’m reading online.

Well, **tarra **- all you have to do is ask for my address and you can send me all the See’s you want! 
I have a new view out the window next to my desk - 12 pine trees have all been removed - some were dead, all were raggedy, and now all that remains are some stumps. There’s also a great big broken branch on one of the oaks - I don’t mind that it’s broken, but I do hope they can cut it off - it doesn’t look very nice at the moment.
Once they’re all done clearing the hills, I need to plan how I’ll landscape. I want crape myrtles for sure, and I’d love to get some kind of ground cover so I don’t have to mow the hill. Ivy would be perfect - just don’t know if I’ll live long enough to have it fill in… I’ll be talking to some local nursery folks when they reopen in the spring. I’m also thinking daffodils would be a nice touch - they can go wild and they look pretty. I may take a week off in the spring to work in the yard.
Look at me - it’s Jan 6 and I’m already getting spring fever! 
Sees are excellent. We got some for Christmas too.
I love the See’s butterscotch squares. The Mayfairs are good, too.

Sees are indeed good chocolate. I miss having Sees stores in the mall. They closed the last one here a couple of years ago.
My stupid computer is acting up. I’m in the process of running yet another virus scan. What I really need to do is go to a new OS, but am dithering because I can’t decide if I want to just “upgrade” or do a complete wipe and new install. I don’t want to lose all of my documents and pictures and I’m not sure if my drop box is big enough to hold all of my stuff.
The other thing I need to think about is if I should go to Windows 8 or just go to Windows 7. In my mind, Windows 8 is more for tablets and touch screen type of stuff. I’m just operating a desktop PC.
We are going to watch the Seahawks game too and of course, shall be rooting for them. I need to send my former boss, a huge Redskins fan, a note giving him a hard time. However, I don’t want to jinx my 'hawks by doing that, so I’ll wait until after the game, which we will win.

I think I managed to drink my own bodyweight in wine last night, consequently today has been designated hangover recovery day in which I have done very little apart from fit a new lightswitch in the kitchen, make some lunch and bake two loaves of bread. The loaves are kind of sweet with golden syrup, orange zest, fennel seeds and raisins in them, and they’re topped with blanched almonds. They did smell very good but I haven’t cut one yet.
I’ve also guilted myself into doing half an hour on the Wii so now you’ll be pleased to know that I’m all hot and sticky, so now I’m off for a bath.
There, now your lives are complete!
Up and took a looooong hot bath.

Swampy every time you say purtify I hear purtidfy and wonder if you are slapping on some eau de flybait or something.
If the SO doesn’t want me running with Gavin he’ll need to step up his game then. 
FCM I’d share mine although all the Godivas are gone. Sees is great but I haven’t had that in years.
Check out butterfly bushes, I have one outside my window and lavender is nice too. It’s not so pretty but it sure smells good. We got some last year and I made little sachets. This year I’m going to try making some oils and sprays.

Both bathrooms are scrubbed and sanitized. Kitchen was done yesterday so we are clean and ready to start the new year. I just need now to sort out our mail/filing stuff and shred or scan and keep what is needed. Maybes later.
Off to shower the quick grocery store run this afternoon. Supper tonight is homemade turkey meatballs and tomato sauce with roasted veggies. So I need to get that started as well

Sorry kids going to have to one up you on the chocolate front. I have sitting in front of me a 4.4oz/125g bar of Italian chocolate with hazelnut filling, Baci Perugina. So good it is wrong

My most favorite chocolate is a good quality bar of just plain, very dark chocolate. I really don’t care for nuts in my chocolate. I’ll tolerate caramel or brandy though.
Ooh, I forgot! I have a biiiiiig box of brandy beans in my cupboard. My mother gave them to me for Christmas and I’ve only eaten four of them. I may have to treat myself to a couple today.
Apparently they’re available at the Lord & Taylor’s at Annapolis Mall. Just sayin’…
**FCD **is on his way home. I’ve salted the water for him and it’s mixing. Dishwasher has been emptied and dirties are loaded. I’ve had a turkey sammich. Higgs farts in her sleep and it’s unpleasant - I know you were all wondering.
What the heck are Brandy Beans? Whatever they are I want some nom nom. Off soon to get a new Battery for the Motorcycle and have a pleasant Sunday ride cuz its sunny and kinda warm here in SE TEXAS woo hoo

Chocolate in the shape of a bean filled with brandy. They are quite tasty.
I don’t like nuts in chocolate either, or in cookies. Though my favourite kind of cookie has almond extract in it.
