Resolved: Happy New MMP 2013!

Really liked the house we saw. Time to decide.

I’m all freshly magnetized and microwaved. It’s amazing how old the hardware can be - sitting on top of the Silicon Graphics operator’s workstation was a modem.

I vote that we ladies get together and head for Texas. We can tie up the Capt and steal his chocolate.

Hmmm Annapolis Mall is closer but I hate driving in Annapolis. Getting to Texas is probably easier than navigating around Annapolis. Might take more driving time but a lot fewer expletives.

I also don’t like nuts in chocolate, I do very much like chocolate in Nuts though
see what I did there?

Is blurfy day- I blame the horrid big grey clouds that have been slowly suffocating the country with gloom for the last week or so. I want sun :frowning:

Run a virus scan in safe mode. Safe mode loads only the drivers absolutely needed, so it is easier for the scan to fins viruses. You won’t have a connection to the web in safe mode. :frowning:

Turn it off, and back on. While it is starting up, keeping pressing and releasing F8. You will have a choice of ways to start, one of which is safe mode.

The reboot & press F8 might take a few tries, because Windows can be stupid that way. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.

Well I just got a WTF?!

I’ve been pet sitting for 15 years.
When I first started, getting bonding and insurance was almost impossible without belong to one of the PS organizations.
Bonding was $50/year, insurance was much higher.
Eventually I found coverage on my own and it was $100 for bonding and $100 for insurance.
In 2011 Insurance went from 100 to 108. Last year it went to 117.
This year’s friggin bill!!! $281!!!
WTF! I expected an increase, I didn’t expect more than double.
I’ve never made a claim, pay the full amount every year on time and never even talk to them.
How in the hell does something go up* that* much?

Oh yeah, and the letter starts
Dear Policyholder (yep they aren’t even calling me by name)
We are pleased to advise you of our decision to issue your renewal coverage.

The way it’s worded it kind of sounds like they don’t want my business, like they are doing me a big favor by giving me the privilege of doing business with them.

I’ve cleaned out my closet!:smiley: Granted, some of the things were shoved under my bed, but that’s just so the shadow man won’t come out and kill me at night. I also got a new filter for the vacuum (last one should have been changed in February 2011–so very dusty) and a storage container for the bathroom so I don’t have to store everything on the floor under the sink anymore. Floor’s been vacuumed, recycling’s been taken out, trash has been taken out, Goodwill stuff has been bagged up and dumped in the car where it will be dealt with later in the week. I’ve also made arrangements to pick up a spare key for my dad’s house (he may be able to stay there once it’s made accessible) and found out his new room number. My blanket gained two new rows and I’ve prepared for the triumphant return of Agony Aunt Ryl tomorrow in the midst of all that as well.

Now it is late lunch/early dinner time. After that I plug in the external drive so it can back up at its regularly scheduled time and I shall fritter away the rest of the day on computer games. I Have Done Enough Today.

I need to start thinking about what we’ll have for supper. Sketties would be easy, or mac-n-cheese. Do I go for easy or healthy? Decisions, decisions…

We’re probably having turkey breast for supper. Yay!

MOOOOOOM it’s Sunday evenin’. Go for easy.

Today I have deheathenated, brunched, been devestrified and have had a nap. All in all not a bad day.

I’ve read everything but my stuffy haid makes it hard to retain so, yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, noogies, how you doin’s as needed.

Who’s startin’ us off tomorrow?

Going out for German food for dinner. I love reading the menus…

Tomorrow we go back for a closer look at the house we saw today. Really liked it, thought its unconventional.

where is the house?how far from where you are now?

Tailgate was fun, Checkers won, got to see a lot of old friends.

I had an x-ray 5 years ago, and the x-ray machine used 5 1/4" floppies.

Herbs, yeah I hope so. I need hockey.

**FCD **fetched supper - he got TacoBell and I got a KFC pot pie. Super easy!

My sweetie is happy - the Redskins are losing. That’s all the news that’s fit to print from here.

I’ll echo **swampy **- who’s gonna get the ball rolling tomorrow??

The next person to post starts us off tomorrow. What? It worked before.

Methinks you’re going for a drive to tie up the wrong person(s). Mebbe you should steal the insurance company’s chocolate instead!
ETA: No fair! Swampy’s post overlapped my typing. :frowning:

Hummmmmm,
Getting tied up by a bunch of Ladies doesn’t really sound so bad

Getting the new MC battery turned out to be a huge hassle. First; Northern Tool, battery section looked like a tornado hit finally found mine, out of box no acid kit, Second, Batteries Plus, pay way too much and don’t think it is the right one but clerk insists it is right of course it’s not return it, Third Wal Mart, now I hate Wally World despise is more accurate but in and out in less than 10 for $46.17 inc fees and tax. Managed to fill battery without spilling acid everywhere and its on the back porch charging as we speak, should be ready in an hour or so. Night ride woo hooo

Spidey is the man of Monday good luck with that :stuck_out_tongue:

Jim

Same town, which we chose on purpose. Maybe a couple miles?
