Nah! He needs to make himself assassination proof. ![]()
That got a chuckle outta me I must admit.
But seriously, I think it’s good strategy.
No problem, the hair can control any new host with a compatible blood type.
Katich is the only candidate I like on a personal level. I admire Trump and I’m amused by him, but he isn’t someone I think would be very good as a pal. So I like Kasich. But having said that, he’s an old school politico of the very type that so many of Trump’s base are fed up with. In short I have a hard time imagining that very many people will be persuaded to vote for Trump just because Kasich is on the ticket. Christie is more dynamic and has a lot in common with Trump via the New York/New Jersey thing, so a lot of Trump’s supporters might be thinking they’ll get a big Trump and a little Trump with Christie on the ticket. On the other hand that same New York/New Jersey thing might be a bit too much for the rest of the country. All in all I’m glad it’s Trump who has to make the decision and not me. ![]()
Can I infer then that Kasich as his VP wouldn’t turn you off personally? i.e. you’d still vote for him?
Certainly.
If the US enters a deep recession due to China cratering, then Trump wins. Actually any deep recession would lead to a Trump victory.
The odds of some sort of recession this year are probably something under 20%. And above 5%.
Of course – Trump said he shut her down, so it must be true. Doesn’t matter that Hillary has been critical of Trump continuously since then, what matters is that Trump says that he shut her down.
Has she been critical of him as a sexist since then?
ETA: I haven’t heard Trump say he shut her down. That was my own observation. Mostly what Trump says about Hillary is that he hasn’t even started on her yet.
By my memory from various appearances, speeches, interviews, and the like, yes, and she’s been critical of him on many other things as well.
But I don’t think that’s important – what’s important is what Trump says, and he says he shut her down, so that’s the way it is.
Yes, Hillary and Bill have been very quiet on that particular issue. Hillary/Bill claimed Trump was a sexist. Trump reminded everyone that Bill was an accused rapist. Hillary and Bill mumbled something about not needing to talk about Trump until he became the GOP nominee. Yes, Trump shut down both Clintons with one tweet.
Did he? If so, that’s hilarious considering that Donald Trump is an accused rapist.
The problem is that Bernie’s politics is just too far of a reach for Clinton Democrats.
On the other hand, a Bernie supporter is closer to Clinton than Trump, assuming Trump gets it. I’m totally afraid Bernie is going to screw this up and we’ll be seeing Trump with his hand on the bible in January.
I think Trump makes mincemeat of Clinton.
My thoughts agree with this article:
“This campaigning style makes Hillary Clinton Donald Trump’s dream opponent. She gives him an endless amount to work with. The emails, Benghazi, Whitewater, Iraq, the Lewinsky scandal, Chinagate, Travelgate, the missing law firm records, Jeffrey Epstein, Kissinger, Marc Rich, Haiti, Clinton Foundation tax errors, Clinton Foundation conflicts of interest, “We were broke when we left the White House,” Goldman Sachs… There is enough material in Hillary Clinton’s background for Donald Trump to run with six times over.”
“She lies so much. Everything she says is a lie. I’ve never seen someone who lies so much in my life. Let me tell you three lies she’s told. She made up a story about how she was ducking sniper fire! There was no sniper fire. She made it up! How do you forget a thing like that? She said she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the guy who climbed Mount Everest. He hadn’t even climbed it when she was born! Total lie! She lied about the emails, of course, as we all know, and is probably going to be indicted. You know she said there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq! It was a lie! Thousands of American soldiers are dead because of her. Not only does she lie, her lies kill people. That’s four lies, I said I’d give you three. You can’t even count them. You want to go on PolitiFact, see how many lies she has? It takes you an hour to read them all! In fact, they ask her, she doesn’t even say she hasn’t lied. They asked her straight up, she says she usually tries to tell the truth! Ooooh, she tries! Come on! This is a person, every single word out of her mouth is a lie. Nobody trusts her. Check the polls, nobody trusts her. Yuge liar.”
What I realized I was thinking about the last couple of days, is that whatever folk have to criticize about Sanders/Clinton - at least there are some experiences and policies to criticize. Sure, some might find it appealing to challenge Clinton as untrustworthy, of Sanders as unrealistic, but there is SOME substance there that you could debate. As opposed to - I don’t know what the hell is going on on the Repub side.
Sure, I wish the Dems could have someone better than either Clinton or Sanders, but damn, I don’t know what I’d do if the Dems were running people as loony as Trump/Cruz, and the Repubs had a couple of candidates like Kasich. Hell, even Paul had some frigging thoughts you could discuss, rather than just slogans and insults.
Crazy shit.
