Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin with a predicted high of 85 and sunny for the day. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be ONLY 73. Go figure. Anywho, no irk today but up I am. Today I shall spiff up da cave. It’s not in bad shape, but I do need to do MOOOOOOM’S fav-o-rite chore and run the vaccum. I shall also go to the sto’ for a few items. I envision gettin’ this done before noon. After that, who knows!

After standing in a hot shower last night, I donned a t-shirt, sweat pants, sweat shirt, socks, and fuzzy slippers. Then I wrapped myself in an afghan and reclined. I wasn’t freezing any more, so yay. And sometime during the night, I pulled the socks off (I didn’t sleep in the sweats, just the t-shirt and socks) so I was back to feeling normal. No idea why I was so doggone cold - I’d even had a mug of hot tea! Just weird.
We’re promised all kinds of rain today. I need to run to Food Lion - we’re out of milk and almost out of pickle relish. How can I make deviled eggs without pickle relish?!?!? With luck, I can get there and back before the storms hit. They don’t open till 7, so I’ve got some time to kill.
Apart from boiling eggs, my plans include running some knitted stuff thru a rinse cycle before bagging them up to take to Mom for AARP. I may go ahead and launder a couple of our afghans that are smelling, um, interesting. And if it’s possible to do anything outside, I’ll give it a shot - that’s entirely weather dependent. I should probably push the vacuum cleaner around, too - 3 animals produce a fair bit of sheddage. **swampy **- you forget - my “favorite” chore is dusting…
This is the chore to which I referred. :D: Speakin’ of which, I have accomplished that plus vacuumin’. Go Me! I am also all showered, purtified, and presentable to the public. In a bit I shall go forth to the sto’. I, too, shall also boil aigs today. After that, who knows.
That’s what I get for not reading for comprehension… I saw the suggestion that vacuuming was my favorite. Never mind.
Back from Food Lion, with my groceries stowed and a dozen eggs on to boil. I even loaded the dishwasher with a gazillion glasses and a big pile of spoons. Between the spoons I use to dish up Higgs’ wet food and the bowls of cereal we’ve been ingesting lately, there were a bunch of 'em! They’re all rinsed, so yay!
When the eggs are done and cooled enough, I’m going to shell them, but I won’t slice and dye 'em till tomorrow. They’ll spend the night in the fridge in tupperware, and tomorrow, they’ll be transformed!! But I won’t fill them till Sunday when I get to Mom’s. I mix up the filling in a zippy bag, then when I’m ready, I’ll nip a corner and squeeze out the yellow-y goodness! YUM!
Meanwhile, it really smells of rain. And it’s overcast. But temps are in the low 60s, so that’s good, and we should get into the 70s eventually. That means WINDOWS OPEN!!! Yes, little things give me great pleasure. Except for little black pug dogs - they just piss me off.
I went to a lovely concert at McGill last night. A wind symphony concert. I used to play with them some time ago. The music was lovely, I had a few friends in the concert, and I think my own bass clarinet might’ve been played in the concert as well. Good times.
Well, I for one don’t want people gettin’ into the shelled pee-kahns in da freezer. What? You said guys and their nuts!
Back from da sto’. MOOOOOOM GMTA! I have a dozen and a half hard boiled aigs coolin’ as I post. I shall shell 'em in a while and make up deviled aigs tomorrow at some point.
OYKW and I are meetin’ up for N.O.L. at the Cookie Shoppe. No we are not eatin’ just cookies. The Cookie Shoppe makes good soup ‘n sammiches as well. I’m hopin’ they have cream of mater soup today cause I want some and a grilled bacon ‘n cheese sammich. The reason for goin’ there is OYKW wants to get some cookies to take to irk this afternoon. His [del]minions[/del] staff lurve him cause he does stuff like that at least once a week.
It’s overcast and looks like rain. Very grey day but it’s warm out so that is a good thing.
I overslept this morning which has thrown my day off, and the day has just started.
No breakfast yet but I will go straight to N.O.L., and that will be pizza.
Too many weird dreams last night. I dreamed I got stabbed in the belly. Then I dreamed I was trying to swallow packets of cocaine and one got stuck in my throat and I was choking to death. That one woke me up in a hurry.

I always say Men! - they spend none months getting out and the rest of their lives trying to get back in.
Well most of them anyway, Swampy being an exception of course!
The eggs are peeled and chilling. I’ve got 3 hunks of beef plus a meatloaf thawing for smokeage tomorrow. The AARP items are going thru a rinse cycle right now, and when they’re done, I’m going to launder 2 afghans that are smelling a tad ripe.
And speaking of smelling ripe, as I was peeling the eggs over the kitchen trash can, I decided it was time to take it out to the garage can and put in a new liner. So that’s done.
The rain has stopped. For now. More promised later. I should take the 2 bills I’ve paid down to the mailbox. You’d think the Dr offices would have an option for online pay, wouldn’t you?? Oh well…
