Respringing into Spring?- A MMP

It’s starting to rain again. I’m ready to veg the night away.

MWAH!

**Hi Everybody! **
WOW I made it in here twice in one week… I’m getting better at this…

Enjoying the weekend here… got outside to get a start on yardwork today. Managed to pull all the huge gigantic mean thistle plants growing by the side of the house. (the mean things snuck in there a couple years back and killed off all my flowers…) Still need to rake up the leftovers and probably use the leaf-blower-sucky-thing to make sure there’s no seeds dropped. Not sure what to do to keep them from coming back. One of my coworkers suggested salting the entire area to kill everything off and I am considering it. I could build a raised bed in there for my flowers ontop the salted area.

Cats have been enjoying open windows for a good part of the day. Kitten is getting better at not punching the screens… I still worry he’ll pop a frame out though just leaning on it. Six months and already 8 pounds. I know Siberians get big… but he’s going to be bigger than the average bear I think…

Made homemade chicken nuggets for supper tonight - wrapped up in pie crust and rolled in cheese… mmmm…

Not quite – Doggio is getting kicked in the nuts, not THE Nuts. Slight semantic difference there.

This is damned confusing, and it is too late to drink coffee.

Howdy Y’all! Miss me this afternoon? After N.O.L. I decided I’d mow over da yahd just so’s it’ll look good on Sunday when we have guests. Of course that meant yet another shower. Twice in a day! I made a simple dindin of broiled tilapia, wild rice, and peas ‘n carrots it bein’ Good Friday. We went to the evenin’ Good Friday service over to the church house. Now we’re in da cave and tahrd. Matter of fact OYKW is abed already. I shall join him shortly.

flytrap I’ll see if I can make this simple for ya. doggio is gettin’ kicked in HIS nuts. So Not Our Nuts (N.O.N.) but HIS nuts. Understand now? As long as nobody kicks my pee-kahns I’m good.

Holy cats, I had no idea how involved a Social Security disability application could be. It makes doing your taxes seem about as difficult as choosing thick or thin crust pizza.

I am reading Six Frigates, concerning the first frigates built for the U.S. Navy.
The designer insisted that some structural members be made of live oak, large trees (in the 18th century) of very dense, strong wood growing only in the Southeastern states.
The government sent some Yank…people from the Northern USA to Georgia to cut the trees and bring them back to shipyards.
All but three died of “fever”, probably yellow fever, the mosquitoes imported on trading ships that had been to the West Indies.

Look out for them skeeters, Swampy!
:dubious:

Were you gone? :dubious:

First, my thought on meniscus tears. As you might all remember after my significant amount of bitching about it, I have a torn meniscus in my knee. According to the last doctor that I saw I weigh too much to have it repaired. He may have been correct or it may just have been because I had no health insurance and he didn’t want the hospital to have to cover most of the cost to have it fixed. This makes me sad as it affects me daily, even if usually only in a small way most days.

At any rate, I’m glad that FCD is getting his knee fixed and I hope it goes well.

Today has been very cool. RT got home at around 9 this morning so we got to spend the whole day together doing fun stuff. I got some new silverware and he got a new car! One of the pieces of silverware is engraved. The initials are M.M.P.! I’d try to take a picture, but I don’t think it would come out very well.

Try malt liquor.

A meniscus is the curved level of a fluid in a thin tube, concave on one side and convex on the other. I guess these things that cushion our knees show the same shape. Cool!

I send my best wishes for you to get better. I am making positive waves.

In my youth that made me ill.

What doggio said. :dubious:

i’ll buy him the 1st 40.

It’s never too late for coffee

Don’t you fellows have something to do, like torture small animals?
:dubious:

Naw, they’re cute & cuddly; snapping plants OTOH…(you want to break it to him, Doggio?)

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

I gave Gordie a belly rub, does that count.

Better let swampy do it.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of 73 for the day and accordin’ to the weather PTB, rain/thunderstorms/apocalypse this mornin’ and clearin’ up this afternoon. We shall see. Glad I decided to mow yestiddy.

Today’s plans include prep for tomorrow’s Easter feast. I think I shall go ahead and bake the ham today. It’s spiral cut so I can easily remove slices and warm ‘em up tomorrow. I shall also prepare the satanic ovaries. I can put the pineapple casserole together as well and bake it tomorrow as it does not take long. Tonight is the Vigil of Easter and we shall attend. This counts as Easter so we will not deheathenate tomorrow mornin’ which works well as it will be probably close to one p.m. before tomorrow’s service is over what with three baptisms and all. There will be two baptisms tonight and the Easter Vigil is probably close to two hours if not a little more so we shall be all properly deheathenated. Didn’t want y’all to worry about that.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, we shall see what happens from there.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!
