That’s why God invented mental health days. If anyone at irk complains, tell them you have a friend in Pennsylvania who said it was OK.
Hugs your way feller ------- and prayers that it all goes as Arthur would want.

Dude, the Last Supper was Passover. That’s why they were drinking wine and eating matzoh.
More bad news, John the Baptist was running a mikvah.
I don’t think that the Last Supper and the Lord’s Supper are the same thing. Are they different, swmpy?
Work was busy and mildly insane. but beer is on sale at the Harris Teeter.
Well, The Last Supper was the origin of the Lord’s Supper “Do this in memory of me…”[/Catholic Catechism]
Yay, gotti! And here’s your CAT Scan
swmpy!
That Hebrew, no vowels!
Does Chris Nealon post in the MMP?
flytrap, let it go. Don’t be so serious all the time. And please respect the “screen names only” tradition. If it isn’t already a rule, it ought to be.
I coulda slept in today - I’m going with **FCD **to see his knee guy and the alarm has not yet gone off. Not that it matters - I’m used to being up at 5:15, so I was up. But Higgs has been tended to and I’ve breakfasted. Once my sweetie gets up, I’ll have my turn in the shower and at 7, we’ll head out. After, he’ll go to work and I’ll go to Lowe’s.
It’s going to be a nice day and I may attempt to do some transplanting ahead of tomorrow’s rain. After a winter of relative inactivity, I’m trying to limit myself to 2 hours of labor per day. I should be able to move a fair number of daffodils in 2 hours, right? We shall see.
I just heard the bedroom door open - time to get cleaned up and begin my day.
Happy Thursday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 82 and maybe rain or maybe not this afternoon and evenin’. The weather PTB continue in their willy-nilly ways re weather forecasts.
The Lord’s Supper. The Last Supper. Holy Eucharist. Holy Communion. They all mean the same thing. Holy Eucharist is what we Whiskypalians call our Sunday service that includes Holy Communion because we like to fancy up things. Today is Maundy Thursday (google it) in which we commemorate Christ’s institution of pick your favorite name from the list above. The service also includes foot washin’ which da bear does not participate in cause I find the idea of someone touchin’ my footsies except for medical purposes to be ookie. Thus my feetsies shall stay firmly inside socks and shoes. Thus endeth today’s Holy Week lesson.
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk must commence. At least today is my Firday. YAY!
Happy Thursday (Blessed Maundy Thursday to all who observe) Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to work. Watching hockey after work.
Gordie, is that you?
Happy Thorsday!
It’s a clear to 40 degrees outside and supposed to get up to 68!
Nothing special for today
SSDD
Blurf.
Another day, another boot to the head.
whose head?
With the way you spell things, one has to wonder if yesterday was Tootsday-Wednesday.
I hear a trap range calling my name and must follow. Work to follow that. Warm weather at last so of course it will storm shortly. Ya just gotta love this state.
Only if chili was on the menu.
I’m going out to a concert tonight.
Back from the Dr and erranding. **FCD **will have a minor outpatient surgery as soon as it can be scheduled. While it heals, he’s supposed to avoid kneeling, which means he might be restricted from doing some projects in his shop, but the Dr said as long as he rests when it starts hurting, he shouldn’t have any other restrictions. The trick will be keeping him from over-doing things. But thankfully, we’re not looking at knee replacement right now. So yay.
I got the stuff I wanted at Lowe’s, and when it warms up, I’ll get out in the yard. As bright as the sun is, it shouldn’t take long to get out of the 40s.
Meanwhile, I can waste some time on line. Woohoo!!
I love it when a friend calls to bitch about how much they have to pay in taxes this year and what they have to pay is more than I make in a year.
Sux to be them I guess.
We’re having to borrow money to pay the Feds.
**sari **- kinda like people whining about how the pool boy is demanding a raise right after they had to take on a second chauffeur to get the kids to prep school…
But I have to say I did find it maddening when, at the height of our combined earnings, we were paying more in taxes than I earned in my first year as an engineer. Yeah, it was 25 years later and the real dollar difference was not considered, but still…
Temps are coming up - I need to change into grubbies soon and get some work done. I think today’s plan will be to mulch the roses, mulch the azaleas, and move some daylilies from under an azalea to an open spot. If I haven’t done my full 2 hours by then, I’ll rake a while. Fresh air, sunshine, manual labor - a spring trifecta!!
When I was a Page at a library, I made $1.25 an hour.
I don’t recall how much they paid me at a nursery to get into a pickup truck and throw bales of peat moss at me.
