I meant to watch the whole thing but slept very late and only tuned in when the clergy were gathered around the coffin for the final blessings. I did notice Carter was refered to by his given name, “your servant James”. Please tell me that of all the addresses given that Trump was not included.

Trump did shake hands with Mike Pence and spoke briefly to him and to Barack Obama. Apparently, he can fake being a normal human being for a limited time.
It did not appear to me that Hillary either shook hands with or spoke to Shrub. One of the commentators mentioned that the Clintons and the Bushes worked together on some initiative post presidencies. So, I was confused why she snubbed him.
And Melania was looking rather frumpy and like she didn’t want to be there.

I was really surprised how long Obama and Trump chatted, and how much they were laughing with each other. I know Obama’s a gentleman and is going to do his best to make even the worst person alive feel comfortable in a public setting like a presidential funeral, but man, it looked like they were really chumming it up.
