Apparently, according to reports, he took a sleeping pill before the flight, which had a paradoxical reaction causing him to become agitated instead. Apparently a known reaction that happens to some people.
Were they all playing Counterstrike or Halo or something? Cuz then yelling this would be ok.
If he “owns” the peasants wouldn’t that mean they were serfs? I think serfdom is illegal in this country, although up until recently you could have sharecroppers or peons and I think underpaid farmworkers who work in hazardous conditions and are housed in a shed are still legal.

Yes–me, for one, with several opioids I’ve been exposed to. They can cause agitation and paranoia, coupled with a sense of extreme physical fragility. I’ve likened it to feeling like my bones were hollow, with a cold wind blowing through them, and my muscles made of piano wire.
I’ve never shouted at anyone, let alone called them “peasants”, while experiencing these effects, but I’ve never experienced them during an airplane flight, either. Given that flying already scares me, I can’t imagine that it would be a good combination, but they’d be more likely to find me trying to hide under something than shouting abuse.
This is anecdotal, but his behavior is not consistent with my experience of the effects.

Bad reaction to medicine? A friend used to say that this sort of stuff did happen in his ER sometimes. Second hand stories are worthless though.

I certainly wouldn’t rule out affluenza based on the limited information we have, but Senegoid (and Conrad’s lawyer) are both correct that benzodiazepines and z-drugs (the two classes plausibly involved as the putative offender) can in fact trigger paradoxical reactions of extreme aggression, as this reprint from an article in Australian Family Physician back in 2011 illustrates. Why they do this in some individuals, of course, is still being investigated.

It is interesting where people go when they get drunk or angry or both. Community poo-bahs like Judges caught when drunkare some of the most amusing but celebrities have their moments also.
Eh, from the fame and fortune crowd I’m never surprised by bad behavior. It’s the average joe (or jane) with wealth that never ceases to amaze me.

Yes, and its too bad it is so much easier to fuck it up than to make it work well. Agitation due to biological causes is terrifying to the person having it, because you fear you will do something you will regret.

It does look like even if money doesn’t buy happiness, it can keep your flight from being diverted and the embarrassment of an immediate arrest.

I have to say, there is something oddly satisfying about bellowing out: “I will own all you fucking peasants”, even in an otherwise empty room.
Also, this is kinda like Eli Manning winning the Superbowl despite not even being the best QB in his immediate family - in that who knew that Paris was not the one most embarrassing to her**** family?
