Saw this Tue. night. Phantasmagorical movies can be done very badly, but I think they hit the right balance. Some of what we saw was clearly his own imagination, some was visions/ premonitions/ hallucinations, and some was truly supernatural. I was afraid it would turn out that the whole movie was a hallucination he was having as he lay bleeding to death in the bathtub. I am sooooo glad they didn’t do that.
