I am spending part of the day cleaning out some long neglected corners of the house. Discovered a strange artifact-- a basin made of tin (?), about 8 inches high, 16 across, has a lid with some holes in it. No idea what it’s for. Looks like something that could have belonged to my father’s parents.
Also doing some laundry and catching a glimpse of the Olympics now and then.

I ran to the Deli in Chaptico to get supper. Chickin-n-dumplins for me, a couple of chicken wings for my sweetie, cheesy N.O.T.s, and corn. $10 and we’s both stuffded, plus have leftovers. Good deal, I’d say. And now, I’m going to veg the night away.
W00t! The studio is coming together and the delivery guys can now get the washer/dryer into the laundry room. The bedroom is still a wreck, but I should make some headway on it tomorrow. I have to go back to irk Wednesday, so the rest will have to be done around that.
It truly is home now, as I have had the wok out for stir fried ginger pork with fresh green beans and shiitake mushrooms.
Doc that sounds like a bed warmer. Does it look sump’n like this?

The AH’s are probably ok but they got on my bad side quick when I was walking Luckie Louie on leash and their two small yappy mongrels attacked LL. I snatched LL up and one of said mongrels was hanging onto Lou’s ass end. I knock him off with as much force as I could muster. Owner came running, “oh, is he OK??” I gave her the stink eye and said I won’t know until I check him out. He was fine but traumatized. So after that she does not speak to me until I was walking LL again on leash and our cat was following. She asked if cat goes to walk to. I said yes. She said “well, maybe she should be on a leash”. What? Cat didn’t do anything. She just follows behind and is very street smart; if a car approaches she heads into the bushes. Bitch. I am now channeling Sari. lol.
The big road trip (Cananada) isn’t happening this summer due to…circumstances. However, there will be shorter trips for various balloon events, & possibly a race in VA.

I turned off the quick charging option and it seems to be okay now.
Then the dryer was getting hot. We took everything apart and can’t find any lint/blockages, so I’ll keep an eye on it.

We shall get several inches of rain over the next two to three days allegedly. We shall see. Also, we’re goin’ to brekkie at Pearly’s this mornin’. Yeah, I’m retired but I ain’t turnin’ down a Pearly’s brekkie. YUM!

Horrible, horrible night last night. I crashed around 9:30, but woke 3 hours later and could not fall back to sleep. I got an earworm of Angela Lansbury singing the Beauty and the Beast theme and it wouldn’t go away. I turned on the TV, but there’s not a lot to watch at 1AM. I think I fell back to sleep between 2 and 3, but I woke again before my alarm at 5. It’s gonna be a long day…
I’m a little worried about **FCD **- he still hasn’t turned the corner when he starts feeling better. It’s never taken this long before. At least he’s sleeping more - that’s gotta be good for him.
Who knows anything about tablets? Our Samsung is probably over 5 years old. Last night, I was playing some silly game and it froze. Couldn’t turn it off or anything. This morning, as expected, the battery had died. I plugged in the charger - nothing. The only buttons on it are for power and volume. The only ports are the charger and for an SD card. Is there anything I can do or is it dead?
Thus begins my day. Happy Tuesday, I guess. <yawn>
when my iPad did that, I did a hard reset. Somewhere on the web has to be instructions on how to do that for a Samsung. The tablet defaults to factory settings and you’ll have to reload all your apps (you’ve been backing it up, regularly, right?) but it should do the trick
