I’m not huge on the whole “gun fetishist” line of argument that gets taken in gun control threads, but I really do think it applies to Mr. Nugent. He really does seem to get off on holding weapons, talking about weapons, etc. He always seems to be waving them around or bragging about how he would use them. Worth noting that when he gets all chest thumpy about his guns, it never seems to be about defending his family or stopping criminals. Tends to be more along the lines of Yosemite Sam.
Ah well. I’m sure all that hyper masculine bluster is a way to protect his creamy nougat center.
Clearly, once Obama secures a second term, he is going to unleash his true Kenyan Muslim Socialist Agenda™ and ban all firearms. At which point, Mr. Nugent will be at the top of the ATF list, and he will either be arrested, or gunned down in a blaze of glory defending his (and our) constitutional rights.
Life member here here, too. I agree with you on all particulars. Nugent, on his best days, is no more than a bufoon and I’ve never been happy with his presence on the board of directors.

Nugent is a douche, but having seen the video, I don’t see a threat.
It could be he means “I will kill Obama;” it could just as easily be “I will be killed or jailed by the evil Obama regime.”
Given the context of his rant (Against Supreme Court rulings), and given that “if ____ is elected, they will cruelly oppress us” rhetoric is pretty standard from both sides, I default to the latter.
Not sure where that came from.
About the closest I know that comes to that is the following which, while adding to his creepiness, does not label him as a pedophile in my mind:

Either way, the man’s a pure imbecile.
Quite possibly he was implying that in his second term Obama would establish a Stalinist state and round up all the counter-revolutionaries, meaning that Nugent would end up in an internment camp where he would eventually be executed. A lot of people have this narcissistic fantasy about being a bold enemy of oppression who dies gloriously for the cause.
There was no explicit, and probably no implicit, threat in Nugent’s words, but someone definitely needs to take him aside and tell him to calm a down a bit. He certainly seems to be suffering from a bad case of Celebrity Bubble Syndrome.
Yeah, I think his other comments are much more readily interpreted as a direct physical threat to the president (or, at the least, Democrats in general). This one, while majorly idiotic, isn’t quite there. He probably envisions himself holed up in a bunker, defending himself from the evil Obama regime, either killed or captured for being a True Patriot.
