The results show just started and am I the only person who finds it odd that they’re still using an INXS song as their theme?
Maybe a little, but it’s such a fitting song that I wouldn’t be surprised if they stick with it for however many seasons the show lasts.

Agree that “New Sensation” as a title track doesn’t really fit this song. Get off your asses and write some original music, Superblova. I do have to agree that Zayra has a point in saying that no-one know what these fuckers are supposed to sound like!
Zayra appears to be one of those women who will fuck you silly. I mean, do you better than any woman you’ve been with, just rock your world. She also appears to be one of those women who, after the best sex ever, would turn your life into a living nightmare*.
I watched last night for the first time. Overall I was not all that impressed. The chick who did the Cheap Trick song had the best presence IMHO. I’ll have to watch next week to see if they get any better.

We get the “reality” show the day before the performance show on the local Fox affiliate over here… I’m just annoyed that they’ve ganked the online voting for us, so we only have the option of voting through the digital tv, at $0.25/pop or via SMS @ $0.55 a pop.
Last night I was pretty much underwhelmed with everyone, as well. My picks for last night were Magni (funny guy, good energy but unless he really pulls out something hard and heavy, I think he’s going to get wiped out in the next few weeks), Dilana (I liked what she did with Ring Of Fire, and it seems the band did too, but again she needs to try something a little different. And to put her tongue away). I love Storm, but she’s a bit too campy, at the moment.
The rest weren’t special. Toby did okay, but he’s got a bit of the Jimmy Barnes going on and we’ve seen it all before. Plus the “Aussie Mate” schtick gets real old real fast. Once again I wasn’t thrilled with how Lucas did. He spends his time groaning and straining over the music and it’s not all that good to listen to. And as much as I like Phil, I agree with the band that he still seems a little out of place on the stage, but he’s got a bit to work with.
Zayara needs to get gone. But I can see her sticking around for a long time. Someone seems to have the hots for her. I’ll be interested to see how the results show goes - there’s another 8 hours until it airs over here.
Change “Lukas” to “Patrice” & maybe.
Dilana is the most heavy metal. Patrice & Toby are just great singers.
Oh, don’t worry about it. Week 2 was pretty slow until Storm got up on stage, & the two most powerful singers were the last 2.

I was surprised at how much actual honesty I got out of Tommy Lee. That head-shaking “dude” when he had to drop his “hatchet” on Chris, after Chris’s choked-out “T. Lee, always m’boy”, seemed so sincerely pained. I think they’re always shocked in the beginning at how much it hurts to have to cut these people. I’d hate to do it. That being said, for being one of the greatest singers in the world, Chris really sucked…….
I see it more like the Apprentice. She’s dead in the water, doesn’t have a chance, so you might as well keep her around rather than Chris because she’s better tv when she flips out and makes an idiot of herself.
I disagree. I don’t think it’s a schtick at all. He’s from Australia, so that’s how he talks. Besides, that accent will get him laid in any state of the union, guaranteed.
I was a little surprised that they sent home Chris instead of Zayra, but I can understand their reasoning for doing so. If the audience doesn’t like him, their target audience for selling records and tickets wouldn’t either, so there’s no sense in keeping him around. I really wished they’d have sent Zayra home though. I didn’t see her comments Tuesday night, and upon seeing them replayed last night I thought she was very disrespectful. She basically called the guys she wants to be in a band with old and outdated, which means either she’s stupid, or she’s stupid enough to think that she’d be the one drawing in audiences at concerts. These guys have paid their dues and at least early on, they’re the ones fans will pay to see. She was also stupid enough to sing the same song they hated the night before. I thought that should have gotten her booted, because Chris sounded great (and a helluva lot better than Phil did singing that same song).
I can agree with your “target audience” theory, but if they are going to say to the bottom 3, “Perform a song of your choosing to save yourself from elimination”. Then to have Dave tell Chris it was his best performance and still the guy sent him home? Why even have them perform again at all if they’re only basing it on the audience’s votes?
Yeah, that was definitely really shitty of them. I thought Chris’s performance last night should have saved him, and the combination of Zayra’s crappy performance and bad attitude should have gotten her sent packing.
I enjoyed last season much more than this current one.
Tommy Lee is annoying the hell out of me - he’s putting no effort into giving any useful feedback and he’s mugging like a lunatic who just got on t.v. for the first time.
Why aren’t they giving the contestants songs that are actually rock / heavy metal songs? Give them a choice of Metallica or Crue songs … even some friggin Quiet Riot or something!
Why have them sing pop or “lite rock” songs for a rock group?!!?
