Rodney Disrespected For the Last Time

Rodney Dangerfield dead at 82. :frowning:

I liked his standup routines more than his movies but he sure was funny. I thought his health was improving during that hospital stay.
Gonna miss ya Rodney.

:frowning:

RIP, Rodney. Such a loss.

Goodnight, funny man. :frowning:

I was never a huge fan but he was a part of my childhood and I will definitely miss him.

Rest in peace, Rodney.

Oh no. :frowning:

I hope he gets the comedy king funeral he deserves with lots of laughter and tears.

One of the great old-fashioned Jewish schtick comics . . . with him and Henny Youngman gone, it’s up to young pishers like Jon Stewart to carry the torch.

I am totally going to hell – my first thought was “Yessssssss! I’m on the board in the Death Pool!”

I’ll have to join you there; my first thought was, “His dealer is sad now.”

I really thought he was going to come out of that coma.
He’ll be missed.

Wow,
What a loss, the world needs comedians.

I wonder if Dr. Vinnie Boom Batz is going to be investigated for malpractice.

Unclviny

R.I.P. Henny Youngman.

I’ll fondly remember you as the guy who wrote a book. And I was able to pick out any book and write a book report in junior highschool.

I don’t remember a thing about you, but sir, you have my respect.

Farewell Rodney. You certainly got respect from me.

I’ll always respect you Rodney :(.

What a great comedian. I was lucky enough to catch him in Vegas some years back. Very funny man.

Is Fall becoming the “in” time to die for celebrities? Last year didn’t Ritter, Zevon, and Cash all die in the Fall? Now Janet Leigh and Rodney Dangerfield.

I hope they remember to tuck in his tie…

Rodney was always one of my favorites.

“I bought a used car the other day. I found my wife’s dress in the back seat.”

“I was at a restaurant the other day when my tie caught on fire. The waiter tried to put it out with an axe!”

“At the restaurant the other day I said a toast to my wife: ‘To the best woman a man’s ever had’, and the waiter joined us!”

I’ll miss you Rodney.

Aw, fuck. :frowning:

He was the real thing, the guy who wants to make everyone laugh because he’s so miserable.

I wrote a blog entry about him back in June; after I wrote it, I went to his Web site and sent him an e-mail with a link to the post. I got an e-mail from his wife the next day, saying Rodney had read it and liked it and wanted to send me something, and would I send my address? (She signed the e-mail “Joan Dangerfield (Mrs. Rodney),” which I thought was cool.) I sent my address immediately, of course, and in a week or so I received a copy of his autobiography with a personalized inscription.

Amazing. I didn’t even think he would read it; I figured it would go into a folder labeled “Fan mail (delete at will)” or something.

I don’t think my doctor likes me. I called him up and said, “Doctor, I just took a whole bottle of sleeping pills, what should I do?” He said, “Have a few drinks and try to get some rest.”
