Now that Mitt’s sons can no longer serve their country and protect us from terrorists by serving in their father’s campaign , can we expect to see any of them in Iraq anytime soon?
Carol, how many times we got to tell you: install your irony chip before you come to the Board.
Gee, who’d have ever thought a preppie, phony, apple-polishing suckup would turn out to be a jerk in the end?
Oh wait.
it keeps interfering w/the pole up her ass.
There was no irony in ETF’s post.
Everybody thinks they understand irony, especially people who don’t. There’s a word for that, I just can’t place it.
And you know this how, exactly?
To be fair, it didn’t scream “irony” to me. A little mockery, a little cynicism. But ISTM that an irony chip would likely have firmware installed that would allow those to be processed.
At least the hi-def ones would. You’re not still on NTSC are you, Carol? Poor baby.*
*Program your settings for “sarcasm”, here.
Hell, I’m hoping that 260 million Americans die before the conventions so that I’ll get the nomination.
Feel free to rolleyes me.
That’s nice?
It’s balanced.
Everybody is being too hard on Mitt.
Instead of staying in the race for a few more weeks, getting his butt kicked by McCain, embarassed by Huckabee and emboldening al-Qaeda by the day, he takes the high road (and his wad of remaining cash) and serves his country, maybe even glomming on to an important federal post if the GOP wins.
I suggest a bipartisan commission to look into national hair care insurance, with Mitt and John Edwards as co-chairs.
Carol, are you aware that you’ve made 666 posts on this board as I write this? And you used post 666 to misunderstand irony?
Oh, great. Now who will fix Detroit’s economy?
Toyota.
And fair. Don’t forget fair.
What you talkin’ about? I got plenty of iron and vitamin E in my Post Toasties!
Now, Carol here, she needs a lot more certainty to fill up the chasm between what she thinks and what I meant. I’m sure kaylasdad99 can help her adjust her settings.
Life is full of ironies. For the stupid.
As a Democrat, I’m disappointed Romney wasn’t the Republican nominee.
Would have made our job so much easier.
Funny you should mention that, I was thinking the same thing. Either Hillary or Obama would’ve blown him out of the water, no sweat.
Not enough grey at the temples. Otherwise nearly perfect as a presidential candidate from Central Casting. Tall, check! Square, firm chin, check. LED twinkle in eye, check. Smile reflex entirely non-dependent on sense of humor and/or joy, check. So, he should have been a much more formidable candidate, at least as the default that everyone turned to when everybody else pissed off too many constituencies.
But this is politics, and politics is people, and people is nuts. I just wish I could have had a video camera on his handlers when he approached that black guy to ask him about his “bling bling”.
Romney, the hippest Mormon evah!
A Republican consultant quoted in the paper today was puzzled by Romney’s decline and fall, wondering if “the evolution of some of his core principles” played a role.
Actually, I believe evolution was one of the few issues Romney didn’t flip-flop on to placate the right wing.
