This is probably justly filed in the mundane and pointless:

So, I’m watching season openers for the NFL on my sofa and during commercial break I admire the LOTR ext.ed. box sets sitting on the bookshelf.
Wow, they really took their time to make these look nice. FOTR in its emerald green box with the gold lettering and TTT in it’s dark red box again with it’s gold lettering.
So, it got me wondering, “What color will they use for ROTK?”
I thought a nice dark yellow color but then the gold lettering really wouldn’t stand out. My guess would be a royal blue with the same gold lettering.
Has anyone seen or heard the plan yet?

You spot on. The case will be a dark royal blue. Incidentally the box set will include a statue of Minas Tirith.

I’ve thought about this quite a bit myself, and went through the exact same thoughts, thinking first the box would be yellow, and then figuring that it would probably be a nice blue color.
