#5 - yum, very cute, great smile, sexy too!
6. cute but could be a little bogged down in details
7. not my style
8 I love redheads - probably lookes better than picture shows - bangs would be nice too,
I got what you meant. I fully expect to be wrong as these kinda things are one half life experiences talking and the other half wishful thinking/fantasy.
They are all excon biker boyz, aren’t they
I missed the previous thread (and for some reason can’t search for it), but wanna play at being opinionated. Can I get a rundown about what you’re looking for, JT?
The previous thread is right here.
Now, if you can spare some time to evaluate the guys, decide what you like or dislike about their looks, and (if possible) rank them in order of attractiveness, there are a whole bunch of SDMB guys who would appreciate it. (Mind you, most of these guys are not part of this informal experiment at all, but it’s a safe bet that they’d be interested in the results.)
I just got a “limit exceeded” page.
The link in the OP isn’t working for me, I get an error message.
The subject came up earlier. Try this link now, please.
5 - I didn’t like him then, I don’t like him now. (I agree with whoever said he was calling his buddies for paintball.) He’s that friend of your guy’s who you hate.
6 - You can give him my phone number, if you like. I’m newly single.
7 - I like him a lot better in this more relaxed version. He looks like he might be fun to hang out with (but he does seem to be going out of his way to show his arms there)
8 - I bet he whines about how girls never go for nice guys like him. No, thanks.
Of course, they could all be entirely different, and in real life I’d never judge them like that based solely on not just their appearances but their outfits and poses in random pictures.
In order of preference:
#6: Aww. I like him. Gentle eyes, intelligent smile. Definitely my type.
#5: Looks like he’d be a good laugh. I wouldn’t be attracted to him, but I think he’d be fun to hang out with.
#7: It’s Lieutenant Kif from Futurama! Looks like a nice enough guy, but a bit dull.
#8: The kind of guy who’ll pretend to be a woman’s best friend, in the hope that eventually she’ll sleep with him. Then, when she rejects him, on the grounds that shes only ever thought of him as a friend, he turns nasty, and spends the next six weeks complaining about how women don’t really want “nice guys”, and how if he hears the words “But I only like you as a friend” once more, he’ll go crazy. Or maybe I’m reading far too much into a picture!
#6 Hot. I would turn around (in what I hope would be a subtle, casual manner) to keep looking at this guy. I like the goatee, and when I imagine it away, I like him without it too. Definitely my favorite.
#7 Love those arms and hands (though not the “may I help you?” gesture). Face is looking pretty stiff. Handsome overall, but the glasses strike me as fatherly.
#5 Nice looking. Nice smile. Looks fun.
#8 Doesn’t do much for me. Definitely should lose the facial hair.
-
Number three guy friom last time. Okay, so he was annoyed and bored (and not a dick) in the other picture. He seems relaxed and happy. I still think he needs a haircut and shave but he’s definitely attractive in this picture.
-
Whoa. He’s hot.
-
#2 from last round. He looks more stressed and uptight. Nice upper body though…I certainly didn’t expect that.
-
No. Get rid of the stupid goatee and I might reconsider.
Ranked order?
6, 5, 7, 8
-
This guy has got to lose the goatee. Is this #3 from last time? If so, he isn’t creeping me out as much this time, but I personally don’t find him attractive.
-
I’d do him. Totally my type of looks, except the goat which I hate.
-
Is he ‘subtly’ flexing? He doesn’t look at ease at all. An attractive guy but this picture isn’t good.
-
Okay looking guy but I personally don’t find redhead attractive (I think it’s because I’m a redhead and they all look like my cousins or brother).
Ah, I wonder if these are the same four guys but older? (I’m sure a couple of them are…)
#6 is totally gorgeous. If he doesn’t sound like an idiot when he talks, I’d go for him.
#8 is too neat looking. I don’t like that in men, but that’s just my preference.
#5 looks somehow untrustworthy…
#7 looks the most normal to me, although in that picture he has kind of a glazed look in his eyes. He might be interesting to talk to.
Oh, in order of attractiveness? 6, 7, the others are a tie.
By looks, alone, I prefer 5,6,7, then 8.
However, Ted Bundy was really good looking and look how misleading he was…
I haven’t read the other responses yet. Here goes…
Guy #1: Nice smile. The hair I don’t like so much. Looks like a weekend soccer player. Social and happy.
Guy #2: Really Hot! Intimidatingly hot. This guy is on the serious side and doesn’t let just anybody get to know him well. That’s a very nice sweater.
And he’s freakin’ hot!!
Guy #3: Is much more attractive here than in the other thread. (That is the same guy, right?) He’s still looking at me like he thinks I’m nuts, though. Nice arms. He’s not a frivolous person, and doesn’t like others to be, either.
Guy #4: Looks like my dad at that age. I don’t like the goatee on him, but without it he probably looks fourteen years old. Looks like a fun guy with a big group of friends. When he meets the right girl, he falls hard and fast. Not my type looks-wise, but would be fun to hang out with as friends.
Oops. I numbered them wrong. Obviously, change 1, 2, 3, and 4 to 5, 6, 7, and 8.
:smack:
Guy #5: Ick, ick, ick. I know it’s wrong to judge someone based on their appearance- but he wasn’t born with that hairstyle, he chose to do it. That look in his eyes- he seems so entirely self-centered. I couldn’t trust him for a second.
Guy #8: He’s a nice guy. I like the red hair. He looks one of those overly nice guys, though, the kind that whines too much, refuses to make a decision, makes me pick the restaurant every single time, fawns over me when he’s happy and won’t tell me what’s wrong when he’s sad or angry, then, when I leave him because I’m tired of his passivity and annoyingness, complains to all his friends that women don’t really want a nice guy after all.
Guy #6: That’s nice. Good-looking, stands up straight and looks me in the eyes, seems like a guy who’s in control of his life, who has goals and is working toward them, and would be pleasant on a date. May, possibly, have hidden depths lurking behind that crooked little smile.
Guy #7: Is he single? This guy can call me. He looks like he has a sense of humor, and that body is juuuuuuust right. Do you think he’d let me touch those arms? He looks like the very best kind of geek, the guy who’d stand in line with me for three hours to watch the next Star Wars movie on opening day, then tear it mercilessly to shreds afterward over tacos with me. Awesome chest and a digital watch are a killer combination in this DopeGirl’s heart.
Purely judging by looks: I’m so vain.
#6. Nice overall packaging. I am a sucker for the entire look that he has. Brown hair/brown eyes/goatee/nice cheekbones.Handsome in a yuppie/boyish way without coming off as smug-immature.[size=1] Yeah, I know. all men are immature. Good looking body, too.
#7: Nice overall packaging, but in a different way. I’ve always been attracted to asian looking men ( cause they are in short supply here.) Probably too intense for me but he’s probably a fun lovin’ guy who would surprise alot. Great arms.
#8. Too young, but has potential. Has a nice overall cuteness that is appealling and approachable, if he weren’t so fuzzy.
#5. Nope. Not a chance. Nice looking, but he has that borderline creepy guy vibe. It’s interesting that doperwimmen are picking up on this. (#5 is your best friend, isn’t he?
#5
Mostly, the poor picture (esp. lighting) doesn’t help here; it kind of washes away his features, making him look a bit generic. Overall, I’d say attractive with a good smile. I expect him to be social (is that just me reacting to the phone in his hand?), a joker, and athletic.
#6
Though probably the most attractive of the bunch, he looks very uncomfortable in this picture. The lack of a smile, plus his sweater pushed up to the elbows (I think) gives me this impression. He looks like he needs to loosen up, find some sort of stress reliever. Again, the preppy-style sweater aids this impression.
#7
This photo, imho, has by far the most personality. There’s something striking about the direct look in his eyes; everyone else seems to be looking at the camera, he seems to be looking at someone. His hands make him seem like a supplicant or some sort…or like he’s very pendantic.
#8
Looks like one of my coworkers when he was younger…or maybe his little brother, if he has one. As such, I think I project a lot of coworkers’s characteristics onto this guy (namely, playful, but a bit shy). I would usually not judge someone off this type of photo because of the painfully obvious snapshot quality, made worse by the way he leans into the shot, like a sculpture of a maiden or mermaid off the front of a ship.
