I’ll believe it when He’s buried. As radio becomes more irrelevant, I wouldn’t put it past him for a desperate career change to take a 3 month break, then come back with a “God cured me, and told me to tell you to give me money” church scam.
She may never have smoked, but as a young woman, she performed in night clubs, which at the time were often very smoky. OTOH, there are types of lung cancer that you don’t get from smoking, and one of them killed the author of this wonderful and very sad book at the age of 37.
Insurance companies can no longer deny coverage because of pre existing conditions.
My grandfather died of lung cancer… It’s a horrific tourtourous way to go. His gasping for breath in his hospital bed days before he finally died still haunts my dreams 10 years later.
I really dislike what Limbaugh has done to the world, but it turns out I won’t wish that kind of death on anyone.
Thanks, Obama!
He defined the modern conservative political thoughts in the US. I remember watching his TV show.on the 90s here in Peru and my dad’s buying one of his books. Also, nobody on the other side of the aisle came close to his importance and long-term popularity.
Cigars are very bad at giving you lung cancer, so I don’t think they are the main reason.
So, I guess sending him a get well gift of a carton of Luckies would be in poor taste.
Winstons taste good like a cigarette should.
I would not wish cancer on anyone.
But it is a fact that well over 100,000 people die of lung cancer every year in the US alone. So if somebody has to get it, IMO it’s fitting that it should be someone who carried water for the tobacco industry, and told his ardent listeners that the link between smoking and cancer is unproven.

This. Lung cancer is horrible. I wouldn’t wish it on him. Despite all the harm he’s done to the world.
Perhaps the reason no liberal has matched his impact is because none of them was willing to lower their standards that far. The man spewed hatred and misinformation. He found an audience in angry people who wanted to blame the same people Limbaugh excoriated. The fact there’s a market for that sort of thing doesn’t reflect Limbaugh’s ability as so much as the sorry state of the world.
Also, if this is modern conservative thought in the US, shame on us. There’s no reason to be proud of the vitriolic nature of today’s conservatism.
Total indifference to this. I despise the man, but have no feelings about his prognosis.
A truly despicable disease afflicts a truly despicable man.
I have seen first-hand the suffering it can inflict with my mother, and I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone, so I hope his end is quick and as painless as possible.
That said, when the end comes not a single tear will be shed by me.
The man is a cancer on public discord. This is like some weird validation of homeopathy.
I don’t wish cancer on anyone, but in this case, cancer has made its choice and I have to respect it.
I hope his passing is long, hard and ugly.
I don’t wish cancer on anyone. But cancer found him anyway. And I used to not believe in karma. Thank you, Rush.
(Deleted the important part).
Who?
I would. And I probably have.
I thought you didn’t inhale as much or as deep with cigars, it was more of an oral cancer danger?
But given his generation, he sucked in a lot of second hand smoke.
Either way, a sucky thing to happen to anybody.
