Let’s hope there are responsible people that will keep this war from ending tragically for humanity.
There certainly will be more atrocities in Ukraine. But hopefully no dirty bombs or Nukes.

The truly comical aspect to that is that the “w” sound is completely absent from the Russian language – they usually use a “v” sound as a substitute in foreign words.
Some Germans I know will do this, too, I assume as some sort of hypercorrection or confusion where they throw in extra English “w” sounds thinking the “v” is incorrect. I’m not sure how it would work with Russian and Cyrillic, but it’s easy to get confused with German “w” and English “w” and then when you see English “v”, which should be pronounced like a German “w,” you somehow get confused and think English “w” for some reason. I’ve heard it enough that I think something along that lines is happening.
No, it’s probably dirty bombs. Statement from the UK’s Ministry of Defence:
Russia is seemingly calling all the nuclear powers with this message.
Russia accusing Ukraine of planning to blow up dams or plant dirty bombs?
Every accusation is a confession.
So, are the calls from Gerasimov any kind of attempt to convince western governments of anything (“evidence” of a pending Ukraine war crime) or is it just to put Russia on record as trying to peacefully negotiate the situation before doing something horrific so they can justify it to the Russian public and their allies?
I hate to say this, but it feels like the Russia military is saying “please don’t nuke us when we set off a dirty bomb in Ukraine”. It’s pure cover-your-ass.
I think you’ll find that the few countries with close enough relations to Russia to be considered “allies” are (mostly) less militarily capable than Russia itself.
From an article on the UN General Assembly vote condemning the annexation of the four regions:
Many others abstained, but I doubt those can be called allies.
Koenig’s parents were immigrant Russian Jews. Koenig says his accent was inspired by his father, especially the difficulty with saying ‘w’ instead of ‘v’.
And the answer should have been “Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing. If a bomb, dirty or otherwise, goes off, we will know EXACTLY who to blame and who to retaliate against. But, hey, thanks for the call and my best to the wife and kids.”
I would send them a movie clip of that scene. If Putin drops a dirty bomb then NATO should go in and wipe out every Russian asset engaged in the war.
Based on current evidence, is anyone less militarily capable than Russia?
All created by the great Russian inventor Regus Patoff.*
*Is very old Cold War joke about the Soviets claiming credit for American inventions bearing the the mark “Reg US Pat Off”, short for “Registered, US Patent Office”
Pretty sure Monaco isn’t going to invade France any time soon.
The Russian gov better fix this pdq. They’re risking a military revolt. They force people to sign up and fight in Ukraine and then don’t pay them on time?
You don’t pay cannon fodder.
You also don’t pay their next of kin.
I think you misread that article - it is mostly about next-of-kin fighting over who gets the death benefit.
I hear Italy is a bit worried. Underestimate Monacans at your own peril!
Strangely enough, most countries figure who gets benefits before you get killed. I feel there’s a Yakov Smirnoff “In Russia…” joke in there somewhere. I’m actually a bit surprised that Russia is even paying out the death benefits.
Ukrainian arms manufacturer & collaborator caught on tape. His factory got hit and he considers it collateral damage for Russia’s victory.
Wow. You’d think being invaded would change minds. I’ve read a lot of Ukrainians that supported Russia have realized tbeir mistakes.
