Sager NP2740 Right Side of Keyboard Doesn't Work

Bought it from xoticpc. I used the laptop without any issues with the keyboard. I then connected it to an external monitor and using my own wired keyboard. Thus using a usb port and connect my wired keyboard to it. I then disconnected my keyboard and monitor so i could use laptop by itself.
Right now most of the keys on the right side of keyboard doesn’t work. J, k, l, u, i , o, p, n, m doesn’t work. Enter button works however.
Does anyone know what this is happening?

So the letter i right now when i press it… its like the left click mouse pad clicking button. U, o, p, j, k, l, m doesn’t work. The other keys however like enter, backspace works.
Why would the letter i function as a mousepad button left click?

Most laptop keyboards have a Num Lock mode where part of the keyboard maps to digits. Typically U I O are 4 5 6 (they fit right under the real 7 8 9 keys) and J K L become 1 2 3. See if you can turn off Num Lock.

There is also a special mode in Windows (you’re using Windows, right? Seven or Eight?) that maps the keypad to mouse buttons. See this link for more info.

Is there a reason for this?

It’s for data entry, for laptops which don’t already have the number keys on the right. Laptops with the actual number pad keys won’t do this, as far as I know.

Google data entry keypad for more info.

Have you tried turning it off, then turning it on again?</Chris O’Dowd>

If that doesn’t work (and it not giving you numbers either), it may be time to use your warranty.

The Sager NP2740 does appear to use those keys for a keypad however. There should be numbers on them in blue. Toggling between the numeric keypad function and ordinary letters probably involves using the Fn key and one of the keys in the top row.
