Ugh. Afternoon, y’all. It’s almost noon, 78 degrees and raining. I want to go out for a nice, long walk. Walking in the rain is one of my favorite pasttimes!
The wait to see if a cable tech will show up for real on Sunday afternoon is on! I shall keep y’all posted. I know everybody is just as fascinated with this as I am!
The VBS kidlets sang “Seek Ye First” this mornin’ in church, then asked everybody to join in. It was cute overload to the max!
Cable guy came at about 3:15 and left at 4:00. I am now the proud owner of a brand spankin’ new shiny digital cable box. It’s workin’ fine. No fadin’ in or out of jumpy picther. He changed out one cable thingy in the attic cause it was in his words kinda old. Also, he is keeeeeeeeeyooooooooote!
Had a fun afternoon in the sweltering heat - picnic/party. Only problem was I actually had to drive across the parking lot to the building with the rest rooms. But we ate and sang and played games and sang and had dessert and sang. Did I mention it was with my chorus?
We had an early supper of hot dogs because we didn’t have lunch. It’s now clouding over and really windy, and from the looks of the weather radar, we’ll have rain pretty soon. And tomorrow it’s not even supposed to hit 90 - YAY!
Laundry is done and in - not all put away yet, but almost. Taz got out, but once he got into the yard, he just stood there and yowled, which is how I knew he’d gotten out. And how it was so easy to get him back in. Thus endeth my weekend.
Did anyone ask for tomorrow? I’m not volunteering, since I’ve got 3 dogs to tend to in the morning…
The Party Van strikes again! We’ve got a gas leak (other than the one coming from TVMan).
We had it towed to TVLand and since we happened to be farther south on the same State Route, we even ended up with the same tow truck driver as last time!
Thank goodness my mom picked us up and let us borrow her car so we didn’t have to ride with the driver again!
Annie - don’t forget to post a link to it here. So many of us are too lazy to go snooping around MPSIMS on a Monday morning looking for the new week’s thread
Will do. First, however, hubby is going to show me how to use an electric hedge trimmer. I didn’t even know we HAD and electric hedge trimmer. I was just going to use the shears!
Went to Lowe’s and got some lightweight fencing to rein in the coneflowers with. They keep flopping over onto my driveway. It’s not terribly tragic if they get worn out by cars (there’s so darn many of them!), but it’s nicer if they don’t.
