It’s down to 96 now. :eek: I walked the dogs, then napped. Gordie is on THE LIST. He ate the USB cable for my MP3 player.

We’re down to 90, with a heat index of 99. We have an added bonus: a nice heavy rainstorm headed this way. That is, if it doesn’t fizzle out before it gets here.

Forgot to say yesterday…wow, we sure have all kinds of soap opera material in our families, don’t we? Here’s my post, in case you missed it. 
We’re supposed to have storms tonight that will get us back down to civilized temperatures. I’ve had quite enough of the 90+ temperature range.
There was a line way out the door at the ice cream shop, so I went to the coffee shop instead and got an iced latte. It got me through a quite respectable walk. (It didn’t actually feel all that hot to me. The sun was sstarting to go down, so that helped, of course.
I’ve decided to finish the evening out with additional slothfulness (although I suppose the knitting reduces the degree of inertia). Have made it to row 15 of section 4, so I’m progressing nicely. At this rate, I could have it done tomorrow.
Off to knit and find something to watch.

Miracle of miracles - I got to sleep in till 6!! So yay for that!
Much tidying must be done today - my cleaning ladies come tomorrow! And no, that’s not supposed to be irony or anything - there are things out that need to be put away so they can clean - like all the cat toys that Cosmo dumped out and dragged all over the house… Plus I need to empty the dishwasher and finish laundry and haul the garbage… At least all can be done indoors in the a/c.
But first, I think I might let my sweetie take me out for breakfast. 'Cause I’m nice that way.
I’m awake too. Sort of. It’s 75 out right now, but only supposed to get up to 83 today. Yay!
Yeah, high of 79 here and I’m glad since we’ll be mostly outside today.

Today’s big excitement in swampland is a tech from the cable company is supposed to show up between one and five p.m. I got a call yesterday to remind me of this so perhaps they are serious about showin’ up on Sunday.
Time for more caffiene and to consider what to feed rumbly tummy. Maybe I’ll be like MOOOOOOM and give permission to be taken out for breakfast.

Morning Mumpers. I’m up and caffeinated, and getting read to be deheathanated. It’s going to be 103 today. They say you should avoid physical exertion, and stay hydrated, so I’m I’m going to go float in the pool after Mass.

Breakfast was ingested, battery on van was charged so trash and recycling could be taken. First load in the washer. Dishwasher emptied and reloaded. Puppeh toys gathered - at least temporarily. Daughter is at camp. It’s only supposed to hit 98 today :rolleyes: and stay in the upper 80s all week, theoretically.
I live with a bunch of idiot animals. Taz eats puppy chow, Cosmo eats the cats’ IAMS. Scruffy likes both puppy chow and cat food. And ice cream. Tidying will happen eventually.

I done hosed off, and will be taking a celebratory nap as soon as I move Gracie’s assive mass off the bed.

I pretty much always pick up the tab, but that’s because I manage our finances, and I have the debit card to our shared account. FCD’s account is for his gas and lunches, so he rarely has any extra. It works for us…
