I don’t put salt on hardly anything (well, cottage cheese but that’s about it). Husband salts and peppers everything. Including pizza. It isn’t weird.
I’d call it unusual, but not weird. People put salt on all sorts of things I wouldn’t. Weird is not putting salt on potatoes.
I’ve been putting salt on my pizza for years, so normal in my book. I also enjoy a little extra garlic powder at times.

I’ve never seen anyone salting pizza, although I have put parmesan cheese (which is a bit salty) and/or pepper flakes on pizza plenty of times.
Just thinking about it makes me reach for my water glass.
I usually taste it first and put some on if I feel it needs it. Not an auto-condimenter though.
I used to lightly salt and pepper my pizza when it was good, east coast, thin crust pizza that only needed a little sauce and cheese and possibly onions and pepper.
The thick crust monstrosities that simply serve as plates on which to pile as much crap as you can are usually salty enough.
Never seen anyone salt pizza, spaghetti, cannelloni, or lasagna. I wouldn’t call it weird. It would just be kind of surprising to me.
I didn’t realize there was a group of food you weren’t supposed to season with salt and pepper. Well, breakfast cereal maybe.

As for the pizza, I’d say salting it would be unusual, but not weird.
If you have any jars/cans of pasta sauce handy, take a look at the sodium content. Does it really need any more added?

I think catsup on pizza is weird. But I disagree with Vincent about the Dutch dipping their fries on mayo. Absolutely love it.
I love salt on almost anything. I don’t usually salt pizza if I’m out, but I like to put seasoned salt on it at home. Which is really just brownish salt, as far as I can tell.
As you can see from my location, I have lived many places.
I put salt on pizza and nobody has ever mentioned me doing so.
For some reason, cold or lukewarm pizza seems to need more salt - very hot pizza less or none.
Probably makes no sense to anyone else, but it does to me.
Most pizzas are already extremely salty. I would think it odd to see someone put more salt on it.
