Santa Claus is coming to the MMP!!

This is a terrible, horrible, awful, no good, very bad day. It should be one of the best days on the calendar (cheep chawklit & normal music again), but noooo, not this year.
Early this moaning, before the stores even opened, there was a ::GASP:: Christmas carol on the radio! Noooooooooooooo!!!
Flight this moaning; Jen scared a field full of Molson mascots which flew under us. What a site!

For some reason the handicapped stall at irk is locked (from the inside). That one is much bigger than a regular stall & therefore easier to get changed into more irk-appropriate clothing. I said something to the cleaning lady; she thought that prehaps it’s out of odor & was intentionally locked; I told her no. Have you ever seen a (free terlet) stall door that locks on the outside? I thinks someone needs to crawl under & unlock it…& that someone ain’t gonna be’s me!

**Midget **- Fingers crossed for better news from your doc.

**Juliet **- Way back when I was a brand-new engineer, a bunch of us used to go to lunch with the boss; OK, technically he took us since he drove, but he didn’t treat! But when my last boss became my ex-boss, he took me out one day.

OK, my lunch is over. Back to the grind…

Today is becoming a grumpy day.

There is something one of my friends does that for whatever reason just irks the shit out of me, and it really isn’t a major thing. Kind of stupid to be irritated by it, although I think it is indicative of a bigger issue. She bitches about certain conditions of her life but then puts herself back into the same situations, and when I tell her how to fix it she tells me I don’t understand. I get it, I’m on the outside looking in so it is easier for me to see the problem, but at the same time, stop doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
Beig nice to people who are shitty to you is not going to get the results you want. It’s not like one day they are going to wake up and say, ‘oh wow, I have been a real asshole to this person and she is so nice to me so I should start being nice to her’.

Midget - it’s better to know what is wrong. I went for years with a mutated form of strep throat, I had doctors tell my it was all in my head and I needed to see a shrink. I was never so relieved to have a diagnosis, and at least if you know what it is you can take steps to fix it/live with it.

Sorry you are having a rough day Spidey.

Juliet, go to lunch and have a nice talk. I’d tell you to order the most expensive item on the menu, but that probaby wouldn’t be very professional.

Glad you are feeling better MetalMouse, and got home safely.

I hope your sister enjoy’s the necklace FCM, Jim sounds like he was a nice man and a good friend.

I should finish straightening up the house. I have Christmas gifts to put away, as well the wrapping paper and stuff. I’m not going to wrap the rest of the gifts for my son. He can open the packages when they get here. I didn’t take out anything for dinner, my son can make a pizza or a hungry man for himself. I don’t know what I’ll eat. I have ham steaks in the fridge, and some eggs.
Quick meal there. There’s some broccoli and fart blossoms in the freezer, so I could have ham and broccoli.

Guess I should get busy, the dishes won’t load themselves, nor can the rug run the vacuum. The dog and cat are pretty worthless as well when it comes to helping out around here.

blurfage. Irking and tis busy as expected. In the front office that is. I don’t have much going on in my office. My clerk brought me some grits and grillards and that was lunch. That may not be spelled correctly. It is a Cajun dish which is most like roast beef and gravy on grits. Was good.

Blurfage

I went shopping because my portable DVD player I keep on my desk died sort of yesterday; its so old the case basically fell apart and I don’t like using “visible” electronics. The stores were NOT madness. But then again its a work day and I didn’t hit the mall areas until 10ish after the serious pros had already bailed. I ordered it from Best Buy to be delivered at home.
Yeah ------ I know. But I also know how we handle packages. Books – yes. Electronics – no.

My boss invited the team members who weren’t on vacation today. So it was my boss, three others, and me. I’ve been here for a year, and this is the first time I’ve been treated to lunch by my boss. I think it was a little treat for those of us who stuck around over this week between Christmas and New Year’s. The whole offer just kind of took me by surprise.

We went to a little diner and I got a scrambled egg skillet. Everyone else got some sort of breakfast for lunch kind of deal and it was nice to take a longer lunch, get a free meal, and chat with some of the people who work on an adjacent team. (My boss oversees technical writing, training, and document delivery; I was the only tech writer that came.)

Home from work. Poke chops shall be the center of supper. That’s as far ahead as I’ve thought.

Looking at the mess on my desk at home, I’m thinking I should tidy something. Yeah, that’ll happen.

Thanks. Yeah, it seems I’ve seen doctors about this stomach/digestion thing more than once, and was told it wasn’t anything serious.
Eventually, what I had to do was go to the hospital, go to the testing area, and give the receptionist shit. I mean that literally, and I wasn’t being rude - I had to give, uh, a stool sample. :o

So yeah, I hope to find out more about what’s going on with my health.

yesterday wasn’t too obnoxious although it had its moments …… tho im like spidey … but mines due to food and a side effect of no gallbladder …… happens about every 1-2 weeks

played with nephew before he went home with parents …. im 'orrible at obstacle games im calling bill people for aunt since the direct deposit is super late and bills are due t oday …. ill be changing the date on a few Monday …… later is taking out the metric tons of trash from yesterday ………

MOOOOOOM, re. the child containment device—my best friend had a son, Sean.

His pack-and-play was therefore known as the Sean Pen.
Said child is now 6’7", so he survived.

Sister Wendy died today.
I really liked her show.

<snerk> Sean Pen!     Love it!!

Howdy Y’all! OYKW and the German chawklit cake made it back in one piece. YAY! I made pancakes ‘n snausages and we supped. He is now preparin’ himself to soak in the whirlpool tub. He does lurve that tub! I took two nice ribeye steaks outta da freezer to thaw for tomorrow night’s sup since shrimpies 'n steak won out. Tomorrow we shall laze around. He does not go back to irk until January 3rd, the day after his bday. Thus we have seven days to stare at each other all day. Plans are afoot for the annual biiiiiiig NYD/his birthday dinner. He wants an ice cream cake, as usual. Thus I must needs go ahead and order one from DQ for pickup on Moanday.

{{{Midget}}} at least havin’ a proper diagnosis is a step in the right direction.

MOOOOOOM as others have said, Jim was a good guy.

All you with the various sickies get well soonest.

Juliet sounds like a nice N.O.L. and a pleasant treat.

Alien HEE!

dq? yall don’t have a coldstone (look and drool(https://www.coldstonecreamery.com/) nearby? talk about livin in the sticks :p:D I don’t think we even have a dq in miles tho since our mall one closed down …… well closest is an hour away …

I lost a friend today after a not too long bout with cancer. I has a sad.

Glad you’re feeling better metal mouse.

doggio, had you been able to make it back for irk, I would have invited you to join us.

I hope that treatment will help you feel better emily.

Had to irk for the full eight today so’s to be paid for the last two days. Tomorrow and Friday I’ll likely be able to bug out early though. It was sloooooooooow and quiet. Only about half of us were there.

today was well overcast emotionally cause today is when my nephew passed on and theres extremely bad blood on what happened that day …I miss the little monster

Evening all. Spent a lot of time resting and napping, but did get out to do a little shopping and collect my held mail. Have a couple of chores for tomorrow and need to get back in organizing the soccer for this weekend, just haven’t had the ambition yet.

Eating a bowl of soup and a sammich, still don’t have my usual appetite but trying to get more liquids in me.

Red, yeah, this is the season everybody looks at what leave time they have left and tries to use it. Amazing how many folks will be back 2-3 January.

{{{Butters}}}.

Shady, closest Coldstone to swampy looks to be about 60-70 miles away. As good as they are (and they are good), that’s a bit of a drive.

Juliet, sounds like lunch was pretty nice. Glad you have a good boss (well, provisionally; bosses can change).

ahh well see what livin in the sticks (or swamps) gets ya? not much for civilization although livin in the desert ……

I’m sorry for your loss shady. :frowning:
